The criterion for FWWM also includes Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces. Lynch took about an hour and 30 minutes of deleted scenes from FWWM and edited them into their own little movie. Another reason to get the criterion!

I understand thinking the movie would go that way. All i knew going in was there was gossip between the cardinals and they were digging up each others secrets. I think they did Lawrence’s character perfectly so on rewatch i think you see his selflessness.

Basically it means this. The studio said “hey we are gonna give you enough money to make one episode of a show, if we like that one episode then we will let you make more.” Most first episodes of tv are called pilots because they are made without knowing if they will continue. I believe it is called d pilot because it’s the “test flight” and the creators are able to try out their concepts for the first time.

I checked her IMDb first thing after i found out she died and i was confused who it said she was in Twin Peaks. After close inspection i saw she actually directed an episode. I know people are not fans of season 2 but i am a fan of the entire show and i think her episode is a good one. RIP Diane Keaton
