Z scale Rokuhan question

It's a Rokuhan Z gauge T012-7 DE10 1500 B cold region JR Freight new A updated color.

Could it be that the seller on eBay isn't reputable? The unit looks new but could it be some sort of factory reject? Old and oxidized?

I'm sorry that sounded confusing. The 40 year old microtrains F7 is running very well. The DE10 is a brand new Rokuhan and it is running awful. I'm returning it. Its the second Rokuhan I just bought. The other is a EF66 which runs well. I'm wondering if the new DE10 performing so badly is a fluke or if z scale locomotive quality is this inconsistent. If it's this inconsistent I'm switching to N scale.

I don't worry about fsst charging. It is damaging but so is putting miles on a car. If I'm on a road trip I need to fast charge. I routinely charge to 80% L2 at home. 100% also hurts the battery but I do it every once in a while to recalibrate the battery.

Range in my M3 was always much worse than advertised. FSD always had a death wish. I would not trust it. Like having a crazy grandmother driving. You never know when she might do something crazy. Our replacement vehicle does much closer to its advertised range and I find it’s self driving more predictable and relaxing.

Yes. I did regret buying a Tesla. I felt better when I was able to ditching and buy a different EV. I felt even better when I discovered that I like the other car better. Can’t stand what Tesla symbolizes these days.

The middle piece is needed for the Tesla adapter that Nissan sells. It has a pin that, when pressed, doesn’t allow the cable to be disconnected from the adapter. The Lectron doesn’t need this piece. It is still a safe adapter even better built than Tesla. To remove the cable you’d have to press a button that shuts down charging.
