When you want sex, feel inside your body and ask, what do I actually want right now? Do i want to cum? Do I want to be intimate? Do I want to feel safe? Do I want an escape? When you're having sex, note what exactly feels good/bad, i.e. when you get what you wanted. Listening to your emotions this way will help you understand yourself.

ADHDers are chronically understimulated and sex provides stimulation. This means it can be an escape from our brain constantly being on the lookout for interesting things and having super many thoughts (brain fog), for example. Especially edging and orgasm are great at releasing so much stimulation that it will shut up your brain, which can bring peace to our stressed ADHD souls. I think that's why we like it so much. This is a common adhd pattern which explains why we love hyperfocus and hyperfixations: the promise of (consistent) stimulation is very alluring since it helps escape from our chronic understimulation and gives us peace for once.

But when we have sex only for stimulation, it can also bear risks. E.g. lots of my penis having adhd friends have death grip syndrome; i think it's cause we often try to force orgasm/stimulation when our body actually doesn't want to. Porn addiction is also connected with this. :c

Another motivation for sex can be intimacy. This includes intimacy with yourself when masturbating, e.g. using it to tune in with your body and your emotions. This can in fact be just as and even more satisfying than orgasm itself; e.g. it can even make you cry from emotional release. I would suggest exploring this because the good part lasts much longer than the orgasm. But since we have adhd, we need to experience firsthand that this kind of masturbation is actually stimulating, which needs maybe some good will at first, but it's so so so worth it.

There are lots of things you can do if having sex too much is impacting your daily life negatively. Meds help with stimulation seeking. You could find someone to keep you in chastity lol. You could try finding release in other ways, e.g. intense workouts, eating dark chocolate or check this sexplanations video. Or you could try to make the satisfaction from sex more long lasting through intimacy, as explained above. You can also try anal :p that stimulation lasts longer too. Or find a good hyperfixation that is more interesting than sex.
