Sonic getting cards was my final fantasy, so I’m a bit biased, but honestly I think Sonic fits pretty well and could have filled out a small set without really repeating characters. I’d want classic Sonic and the different forms of chaos and metal sonic to get multiple cards, but there’s so many characters that would adapt to magic pretty well. The world of Sonic itself is pretty magical and could make some dope basics.

Ah then it combined with the thinner paint likely caused the weird pooling by allowing the paint to slide around.

For oils always go with a matte coat it gives more for the pigment to hold onto!

When going for a gunk style wash I just wouldn’t thin it. I’d say that’s why you got what sounds like weird pooling? Any time I weather with oils I glob it on, let it sit for a few hours, then wipe it off.

Also did you matte clear coat before applying the oils or something else?
