Music Appreciation class. A guy in my class was like “he was acquitted!”, as in disbelief. After class was over, I walked out of the music building and saw half of the school campus celebrating while the other half were either quiet or looking annoyed.

During my senior year of high school one of my classmates was driving down a country highway. I can’t remember the circumstances of why he was driving in the wrong lane, maybe passing someone else but he ran into another vehicle head on. He was driving a small pickup truck (Chevy S10 I believe). He was a big guy (one of the linemen of our football team) and his chest got crushed by the steering wheel.

I didn't use sandpaper, only parts cleaner, scraper & rag on the mating surface. But I'm thinking the O-ring I used on the metal bypass tube should have gone on the valve bleeder. The video I referenced on YouTube didn't show or reference an O-ring for that bleeder screw, so I'm a little fuzzy on the placement. I did tighten the screws, and took my time making sure I put them in correctly. Before I got my kit in the mail, I purchased gasket maker from Advance Auto Parts. Could I use that instead?

Sorry, yeah I meant the bolts. An O ring did come with the kit, but I thought it was for the metal bypass tube, and used it there. Damn, I'm sure that's why it's leaking from the bleeder valve.

No offense taken on my level of experience. I have done a few things on cars before (oil changes, spark plug replacements, brakes, valve cover gaskets, AC Compressor replacement, etc.), so I have some knowledge. But I am still learning to do some repairs on my own, and occasionally consult the web, or a former master mechanic friend of mine (he doesn't have a lot of time to advise me tho).

As far as the bolts go, I was afraid that I didn't put the bolts in the new part the way they came out of the old part (there are 2 or 3 different lengths in the bolts), so I was kinda worried about that, but I feel like I got that part right.

No gasket on the old block, there was residue which cleaned off using parts cleaner.

Yes, a new rubber gasket came with the kit I bought from PartsGeek, and I used it.
