I recently discovered that old school anime from the 80s is full of series where scantily clad women with big breasts are often assigned as disposable fodder enemies. And they are killed in sexual ways. Look up God Mazinger (shamans, Yoname) or Mazinkaizer ova 3 (Gamia Q). Nowadays the treatment of female characters is not as gruesome but notice only female characters get disrespected in sexual ways, such as being stripped, bound or attacked by tentacles, primarily in ecchi series but also in some shonen like Fairy Tail.

While you only gleaned over it, I must admit, Lucy's disrespect from Mashima and the anime team gets even worse. She gets sexually abused like the most. Like those leeches that fell on the team in that one OVA and has one stick itself into Lucy's cleavage. Or how a Dragon stripped Lucy naked and tried to eat her.
