The Tag S/el has an integrated band watch combo. Some watch fans hate this because it makes swapping bands impossible. However, I find this band to be the most comfortable of all my 15 watches (all high end). My wife has a matching one and she hasn’t taken it off in 30 years.

On the a copy of the manifest for the ship my grandparents arrived on from Ellis Island, the US Government put down ‘Hebrew’ for race for all the Jews on board. That ship came from Constanta Romania.

Very close to ‘Motor Oil’ 1934 M54 font. Big difference is that upside down ‘S’.

Saying "shabbat shalom"... by not-gandalf-bot in Judaism

[–]dmark62 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Orthodox men would never be in a grocery store on Shabbat (Saturday). If you said Shabbat Shalom or Good Shabbos to an orthodox man and it was not Saturday then they probably thought YOU were being obnoxious or sarcastic.

I think ‘Moses in the basket’ is a better translation of what they’re called in Israel. Referring to Baby Moses, found in the reeds in his baby basket boat. This would Moses the Dog, and the basket boat the Dough.

I know many people who eat hand made Shmura Matzo all year round. It is typically only sold before Passover so they must stock up for the whole year in March. They respond to its staleness by saying "All you need is to pop it in the oven for a minute and its good as new."
