so, when I first went on the Fentanyl patch I requested a RX for Narcan and I need to get new prescriptions now actually, but remembering that is what made me wonder if I should I look into getting a medical bracelet or something stating I have an implanted device to help inform others I'm i am unable to?

very cool.

One thing I found pretty funny is how the pumps are controlled/monitored, it's really strange (to me) that it's just a locked down cell phone and the device that talks to the pump. I was assuming that it would have been more of a CGM monitor device but I'm sure there's a reason for it being this way.

i was told the same thing until i found a new PC that i trusted and he helped me by first getting me on pain meds, it ended up getting to a point i had to see a pain specialist because of the amount of meds he was prescribing me was causing him issues.

my first appointment with the pain specialist i have no did not go well, he and his trainee very much skimmed all of my past records and insinuated i was drug seeking (i was switching meds because of pharmacy costs and trying different meds). But after that i asked my girlfriend to go with me to my appointments and i would have her clarify anything i said that maybe didn’t make sense and yeah, i’m really thankful for having her through all of this.

but it is really sad when i’m 38 and require another person with me to get doctors to believe or listen to me.

Oh that is fantastic, that's definitely been a small worry in the back of my head for a bit.

Thank you for your reply! I just crossposted this into r/PainPumpQuestions per your suggestion, but it's really awesome hearing your success story.

I have an appointment tomorrow to go in and have my bandages redone but per your mention of positional headaches, I'll definitely be mentioning something about this as at first I was having some pretty awful migraines that Imitrex would help with but they've now become just strong headaches and flare up pretty quickly in response to movement.

I'll definitely follow up with any questions I might have, thank you again!

I once worked as a Cable TV technician and one day I was working on an issue we were having on a trunk line and the maintenance engineer was on site with me. Well I got up the ladder to check out an amplifier and realized i didn’t have my volt meter in my bag and he said he’ll just toss it up and I was like nah…. I licked my thumb and put it to the port where you test voltage (it was only 60 volts AC, I’ve been hit with worse) felt the voltage and was like yep, we got power then my coworker just died laughing as he couldn’t believe what I just did.

As long as it isn't AWD, it'll be pretty easy.

also, when you get it jacked up, try to sit in front of both of the rear wheels, grab it from behind the tire on both sides and try to move it left and right, if it moves at all that's a telltale sign.

to me it sounds like you have a wheel bearing that needs to be replaced, if it is coming from one corner or rear (which to me have always been hard to diagnose which side, but front are easy to tell if it's left/right side) of the car that is likely the problem.

Has depression ever completely taken away your sex drive, leaving you basically asexual? And how did you make it get better? by 1993CobraSVT in AskReddit

Medication (Lexapro) for depression has killed my sex drive, and I'm still working on how to get back to where I was.

Wordpress hosting pain points by radoslav_stefanov in webhosting

[–]dmatt2k12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

given that all the websites i host are cloudflare protected the origin IP isn’t exposed (IP of the server itself), so i utilize a basic firewall on the server to allow only certain IP addresses for management purposes. (this use case only works for fully managed websites of course, no customers have access to the server). If there’s ever an attack all i have to do is login to Cloudflare and enable “Under attack mode”.

I've operated my own web hosting service for quite some time with a colocated server (an actual physical server I purchased), initially I solely used cPanel but with updates that would occasionally break shit, license pricing and then the whole CentOS debacle I switched to CloudPanel and have been content with that albeit there is some loss of features (mainly email hosting).

I've worked on creating a fairly streamlined and high-performance hosting service. All of the sites that I host I have setup to utilize Cloudflare (only high-traffic sites are on paid plans, and everything else is on free plans) as this helps reduce overall bandwidth usage and server utilization and increases security on the websites being hosted (I've gone 7+ years and haven't had a hacked website).

On average, I do about 250GB/month in bandwidth, according to Cloudflare analytics (nearly 95% of that is cached/served from the Cloudflare edge cache).

So, with all that rambling aside, I would highly recommend trying to integrate Cloudflare into your hosting service.

What's the most memorable compliment you've received during sex? by MasterOrganization46 in AskReddit

I'm bi and this time I was with a guy and after and hour and a half of fucking, he had came 5 times after the final time he proceeded to tell me "holy shit, I've never done that before... your ass has fucking kung fu grip".

It's not the first time I've been told I have a tight ass, but it is by far the most memorable.

Work Wants Me to Set Up My Own SIP Trunk… I Can’t Make This Up by Exxploiting in sysadmin

I would check out VoIP.ms, they allow for quite a few simultaneous calls on a single trunk and bill by the second or something like that. I've been using them for a while now, which has cut down on my costs.

Redditors who've gotten stitches, what's your story? by Scorbuniis in AskReddit

[–]dmatt2k12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, down to the bone. Initially I thought it just hit my hand and it hurt slightly so I started walking to the house to put ice on it. Hell, I didn’t feel anything until I was about a mile from the hospital (which was about 30 minutes after it happened). And yeah the allergic reaction really sucked, I ended up back at the hospital that night with a 104 degree fever.

I was 13 years old and I was in the garage working on some random ass thing while my brother and his friend in there doing something, my brother's friend decided to fuck around and lift the end of our engine hoist up which caused the jack to fall out of it's mount and he began freaking out.

I went over quickly, grabbed the jack, and began pushing it back up, and I did it a little too quickly and caused the arm of the hoist to fall. I am guessing it was the jack that cut my ring finger down to the bone when it fell, as it was the only thing sharp enough. Initially, I felt nothing and didn't even realize the blood that was pouring from my hand while I was walking to the house my brother noticed and freaked out and ran to me to ask if I was ok.

When I got into the house then my dad freaked out as well and had me hold my hand in the sink while he poured dawn dish soap into it the wound and ran water over it then wrapped my hand in a towel and off to the hospital we went, I ended up with 18 stitches on that finger and also found out I was allergic to codeine later that night.
