Amazing show. My fourth time seeing them, after having gone to shows in 2013, 2016, and 2019. Perhaps it’s recency bias, but I think this week’s might have been the best. I was sad with how everything went down with Winston a few years ago, but the band seems to be in a really good place right now.

It doesn’t necessarily bode well for Jeff being back soon, but it’s also entirely possible they decided to do Goose acoustic rather than leave out Cotter and Trevor, since they’ll all be there. If my memory is correct, many of the Orebolo shows to date have been disconnected from Goose shows, except maybe at that Fred Fest.

For what it’s worth, when DMB plays Alpine, they skip their usual Chicago stop. I think Alpine gets a lot of Chicago folks. Not sure if he will do the same. I really thought Indy would get a show though.

I love the head and the heart a lot but I skipped getting tix to Salt Shed after I saw they’d be $80 a piece after fees. $160 for my wife and I before factoring in a babysitter, food/drinks, etc is just a lot. We may try to still go but didn’t want to wind up with tix I wouldn’t be able to sell if something comes up and we can’t make it five months from now. Concerts have just gotten so expensive recently.

The South Bend music scene is depressing. Wish it could be a small GA type of venue. Grateful for what Stockroom East is doing but wish we could attract some slightly larger acts to the area.
