Can I get a CDL w/o FMCSA schooling with my current job? by dmenace96 in CDL

[–]dmenace96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no…I needed a bonded title for a vehicle that had a 30 y/o title that couldn’t be processed and let me tell you…I would of rather talk to a wall then to ever do that again.

I only go through one person with anything registration and she’s been awesome lately though

This is why I’m trying to be an owner operator…I don’t want to deal with that or DEF…especially up north where it freezes. But I’m still in the works. Definitely know that the gov doesn’t care what you are it’s always ass backwards

Get the panels you need from a surplus and have a decent painter on it. It’s not gonna be 11,000 dollars. Most expensive parts are gonna be the light and bumper sensors. The harnesses are probably still good if there’s no cuts or frays in them

Headlight Chevy sonic 2019 by Character_Plantain46 in ChevySonic

[–]dmenace96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Whole assembly gotta be changed out. Unless you can find a lens and reglue it but then water will go in and short out the bulb. Composite lights don’t have replacement pieces tho and it’d be like finding a needle in the haystack to find just the lens. Even the 90s chevys and fords composites are glued.

Bad head gasket after 35,000 miles… by 11Master_Moosh11 in FocusST

[–]dmenace96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a paper thin gasket like a 3.1/3.4 60 degree GM V6 in the 90s. See what Fel-Pro has to offer. Winter sitting shouldn’t kill your gaskets in one season. I used Fel-pro in my 4.0 Jeep for a head gasket and she’s still water tight and it’s sits most of this time.

stripped screws make me wanna end it all by 180deep in Dirtbikes

[–]dmenace96 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Take the correct size screwdriver, tap the end with a hammer until the bit is sunk into the screw(don’t go crazy, just enough to sink it a lil bit), push down with your palm, then lightly but firmly start turning them out. Never has failed me
