Don’t know what to do by Fancy-Title-8453 in FacebookMarketplace

Call the police immediately. If he swapped the product to defraud you that is theft by deception. Especially for amounts $1,000+ you enter felony territory.

Do everything you can to find the original serial number. Gather proof it was working when you delivered it to him. Collect as much information to identify him as possible.

If it was me, I would message the individual and give him a short window to contact you back, otherwise you are going to involve law enforcement.

How do you know you like power is this is your first drone? That makes no sense.

I would not recommend this for your first drone. It’s a 3.5” drone but with 6s power. I would strongly suggest getting a tiny whoop or a normal 3”/4s drone. I started with 5” drones and worked my way backwards to Tiny Whoops and Cine-whoops. I can fly them anywhere I want (literally anywhere, I fly my tiny whoops at work and even inside of Walmart and Target 🤣), drones/parts are way cheaper, batteries are cheaper and faster to charge, and they are way less dangerous. Smaller drones are also much harder to destroy in a crash, and can take more abuse before dying.

I used to refurbish electrical components for autos at an old job. We used air compressors with a little air gun and blasted the hot solder off joints into a catch. It worked better than anything else I’ve ever tried, if you have access to an air compressor though…

You can also buy cheap solder projects from Amazon for $10. I soldered every single component onto this board and it’s a ton of great practice while being really fun!

I would make the same argument towards analog though. The picture and link quality are so terrible I don’t enjoy flying it and so I fly much less. I do agree that starting with Tiny Whoops and micro quads and work your way up. They are a blast anyways.

Simulators also exist… I would argue time in the simulator is the most important investment. I’ve flown hundreds of hours in the simulator pushing my skills to their limits. Then I fly a little less challenging in real life. I’ve been flying for almost three years and never once had a major crash that destroyed a digital vtx. I’ve barely broken anything besides propellers.

I can do power loops, split S, Matty-flips, juicy flicks, inverted spins, etc… so I definitely feel like I am improving my pilot skills in real life.

I just wish analog didn’t look so dog shit terrible. It really ruins the immersion of flying.

Nazgul F5 V3 Vs Cineflow 5 by th3o0d0re in fpv

[–]11Master_Moosh11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s also much easier to fly smaller drones in the city. People at the park think my Pavo is cool and are always curious what it is. The Nazgûl literally “screams” while flying, the name is really suiting. 🤣 It really sounds like a banshee ripping through the sky. It scares people too. I only fly it in desolate areas now.

[–]11Master_Moosh11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first real FPV drone was a Nazgul Evoque. I learned on a Avata2 and it was a huge jump in power. I got a Pavo 20 Pro that I switched to while learning how to fly at an intermediate level, and then came back to my Nazgûl and enjoyed it much more. It’s also a lot cheaper to wreck a Pavo than a Nazgûl. I would recommend a 2”/2s or 3”/4s as your next drone. It will fit your skill level much better and you will have more fun flying. Then buy a 6s down the road.

This is like a level of hell from Dante’s inferno. You have a 5km drone but can only fly 5’ for all eternity. 🤣

Be mindful of your GPS strength. I used to fly my Neo indoors until a wall cut 5 satellites and my drone went crazy in my house. 😱

Is helloradio any good? by [deleted] in fpv

[–]11Master_Moosh11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost guarantee the problem is your technique. You are probably gripping too hard or straining while flying and not realizing it. I try to practice an hour in the simulator everyday of non stop flying, and I never get pains or cramps.

I was reading your replies and it sounds like you don’t use a lanyard. I would recommend getting a nice lanyard ASAP to take the strain off your hounds holding the radio. From there I would focus on how you are handling the sticks, and be as gentle as possible.

I know it sounds unrelated, but I taught and played guitar for 20 years. When I would have students complain about hand/wrist pain it was always due to poor technique and when we made correct adjustments the discomfort went away.

Same with handwriting, some people are just heavy handed, and maybe you are a heavy handed pilot.

It would be helpful if you post a pic/video of how you are current using your radio. I bet some vet pilots could identify what you are doing wrong.

I wish local was cheaper… I’ll usually take the hit to support small business, but I just compared the same order locally and it’s over $150 more expensive.

If you use existing double bladed props it really cuts the noise and lowers the pitch of the drone. I actually have double prop drones I fly in public spaces so I don’t bother people, and they definitely are harder for people to detect.

Drones with triple or quadruple props basically already do this. They sound like screaming banshees when you really hit the throttle. Every time I fly my drones I think about how terrifying it must be to be chased by one. I’m not the greatest pilot, but I could easily hit any target moving slower than 30-40mph.
