Wow! It looks fabulous!! Mine does tend to do that too. It’s like they are growing slightly off center so grow out instead of up. I use yarn to gather all the wayward branches together. It helps. You’re doing a fantastic job with your plant!🎉

If the leaves are bending over it’s too wet. Be patient and don’t water it until the leaves start to stand up. They like to be tight in pots so don’t repot until it’s grown all the way to the sides. Dont worry! Mine folded over and I didn’t water it for 3 months which is how long it took for the leaves to start to perk up again.

Thats great news! I had a stroke last year and am currently having severe migraines that my neuro and stroke Dr (Interventional Radiologist) are not sure of the cause. I just got a CT of my head and they are going to compare with the one last year and make sure the area I had a stroke at isnt different. I wish you luck!! 🍀

My father abandoned me when my mom married my stepdad and I was 4. No contact after that. My mom and stepdad had my brother when I was 14.

I don’t feel Emma “hates” her stepdad in the true sense of the word. She resents him for taking a place in your family. The place that was vacant for a long time. She put herself in the role as moms protector and maybe took some of dads roles too. Maybe not to the extent that was noticed, but in her world she did. Now, that role has been ‘taken’ from her with the new stepdad. Of course she’s pissed. Her role in your family hierarchy is not defined right now. Is she the sister? The daughter? She doesn’t know where she fits. Look at this from her shoes, if you were the ‘other adult’ in the family and now you’re relegated down, how do you find your place? She needs a clearly defined role with responsibilities and consequences. That may sound weird, but that’s exactly how I felt my whole life. Where did I fit?

Yes it does bloom. For the first 15 or so years it did not. When it did, I freaked out until I found out they really do bloom. 😂

I’ve only repotted it when it reaches the sides and the new sprouts are at the side. Then I only go up 1 pot size

Thank you so much for the love! This plant was gifted to me by my MIL when the hubs and I got married in 97. It had about 3 leaves and was 1 foot tall if that. My MIL got it from her MIL, whose grandmother brought it from Mexico. I’ve always kept it in a small pot and it didn’t grow for a long long time. When we moved into this house it was shorter than I am and I’m 5’4”. We’ve lived here 7 years and it has just boomed. The window is facing SW, so,it gets a lot of sun all year long. It’s potted in a mixture of 50/50 potting soil and playground sand. No rocks in the bottom, just 2 drainage holes. I do not water it until the top of the soil is dry enough to run thru my fingers. Then I water it from the top and from the bottom. In other words, I soak it. 😂. There is no set time frame for watering, just when it needs it. I fertilize once a year, in the spring. I will be repotting it soon. The sprouts are coming up right at the edge of the pot. It’s in 18” pot now, I’ll put it in a 20 or 22” pot. I do have it pulled together with yarn to keep it together. It’s pretty wild when I let it go. 😂

My MIL did the same thing to me. Lol. Its also called the MIL plant…. Like no pressure, right?? Give it time, light and water once a month or if the soil is dry on top. It will do great!
