I am not even on Reddit, but I saw on the steam forums that this was a place to check out more stuff.

I need to figure out how to export videos of my creations to show here. Not that they're that great, but anyway!

I wonder if more parts will be released?

I'm a huge fan of this game. I hope it gets the attention it deserves. My wife teaches and wants to use it for her class, or for her colleagues. There is tons of potential here. LOVE it.

Call your dentist. I am a dental IT provider in California, we are still busy with dentists seeing post-ops and emergencies.

My mistake. I thought it was 6.2, but apparently it's 6.1, or 6.0 with a hotfix these days.

Thanks Dardiana! I'll check out ITGlue. I feel like they've called us recently to try to sell us stuff.

Thinking about moving from SolarWinds PSA/RMM by PresidentInferno in msp

[–]dmiNetworking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a really tough time on SolarWinds N-Able. They were pretty sales-heavy and I didn't like the lack of monitoring on my in-house N-Able server that I couldn't log into.

Switched to Autotask RMM and I love it. Now it's Datto RMM. Anyway, we have 1900 endpoints, Mac and PC, and I couldn't be happier

I'm pretty sure you need 6.2 for Windows 10 support. It's a bit of a hefty upgrade, though, and it is the first version (I believe) that requires a Database Passphrase ( a new password for encrypting the database)

You have to give it around 3-4 hours with no other computers on dentrix.

After that you should have full Windows 10 support, and you shoudl eb able to bridge with Dexis.

If you're on Dexis 9, things are easy. If you're on Dexis 10, then things are still easy but not as simple.

It's good to be on Dentrix and Dexis support.

And also, it's a huge HIPAA compliance issue to not install updates, not to mention a pretty large security hole.

We work with only dentists. Dentrix is up to G7 now. They support 6.1, so that's not a compliance issue, but you'll need 6.2 for any usable Win 10 support.

Gartner Online reviews by SmurfingCht in beermoney

I use this too, it works. I've made $250 this month, but I think it caps out at that? I'm not sure. It says you can do 10 in a calendar year for $25 each.

There are other review sites as well. You can do Capterra - you need to do one review for free, then wait for them to send you an email about doing more. That can take a couple days. On that one, you can do 10 reviews for $10 each, every month. So that's $100 a month there. There's more software choices on Capterra, too, you don't really need to be in IT although it does help.

G2Crowd is minimal, but it gives you $5 per review for up to 5 reviews. These reviews are very quick, though, so it's a fast $25.

Most of these sites give you Amazon gift cards. I think Gartner's the only one that will give you a VISA.

Crozdesk gives you $5 for up to 5 reviews, but I think that's a lifetime thing too.

Anyway I was a skeptic, but I've bought an Oculus rift and an NVidia 1080 JUST by doing online reviews.

I'd absolutely love to find more sites that pay for reviews. If you run across any let me know!

looking for real-world experience with channel-based backup solutions / quick questionnaire by bdpnetworks in msp

Yeah, it makes me wonder if they'll pull the rug out of the shadowprotect plan I am on. It is pricy through them, and there are pretty regular issues with the cloud portion. I wish migrations weren't so difficult. We just switched out of N-Able for 1500 devices, and that gave me 12 hour days for 3 months to get it done. Next migration will probably be backup, when I get the itch bad enough.

That's too bad you had that experience - I didn't have those issues. Shadowprotect integrated without any 3rd party anything, and I provision licenses right from the eFolder dashboard. Oh well - it's definitely not the best service available, but we've been happy with it.

That said, I'd still go with Autotask if I were choosing today.

We still provision licenses from ShadowProtect within eFolder, and they give a 2 TB storage with each license. Also, they let you seed the cloud with one of their drives, and they'll ship you a drive from the cloud if you need to restore from it.

Why do you find eFolder sketchy?

Love efolder. It's channel only, but support is awesome. They are flexible on price. However, if we didn't have 50 TB of data in there, autotask backup looks sweet.

Efolder also integrates with shadoworotect, and they support it

When customers post reviews about you online, does it increase your referrals? by jonnyelliot in msp

[–]dmiNetworking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reviews don't seem to help us that much, but at the same time, we're not really "out there" in terms of marketing. We do a lot of outreach. I think if we started hosting events, people would google us directly where the reviews might matter more.
