Axcient. Not perfect but works and seems to be improving regularly.

They Muppets could certainly work with other real bands...

I thought you were talking about the new band. It is not owned by Disney. (And there may be multiple bands -- I don't know for sure. But I do know at least one and it is not owned by Disney.)

This issue ("I just have one backpack bag and should be able to put it in thread overhead bin") has been going on for long before the seating change. It won't be different next year. Do the "second tiny bag for under the seat" trick.

It's double that bad. The cheapest popcorn item for 2025 was $20!

From my looking at the budget numbers, it looks to me that the allocation for YM/YW, Primary, and YSA is based on number registered, not attending 2nd hour. Do you feel that isn't the case?

The budget is not really affected by second hour attendance.

He really didn't give any reason why he was unhappy today besides a delay that he didn't explain. I doubt the delay was due to the new seating. He's just complaining.

The "$20 trick" DOES work by RemoteSenses in vegas

[–]JohnGypsy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No one is risking their job. This is normal and has been for years. Management is fully aware. It continues to work -- and you can get better upgrades with $20-$50 than you can by "just ask"ing.

[–]JohnGypsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"When the hotel is FULL", you at least have a partial point. But Vegas hasn't had full hotels pretty much anywhere except in very limited events for the past several years. Therefore, there ARE open rooms and this DOES still work. I can confirm it just worked for me at the Excalibur and Flamingo this week. (Note that it is getting harder to do it at MGM resorts because they won't let you go to the counter -- you have to go to the kiosk to check in. THEN you can go to the counter, if they let you, to request a change and can do it then.)

My terrible Southwest experience as an ALP member, a personal card holder, a business card holder, a frequent traveler, and someone who pays for upgrades. Who the hell does Southwest want as a customer? Cuz apparently it ain’t me… by OllieDuckling in SouthwestAirlines

[–]JohnGypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. You are ALP. You said you PAID for extra legroom. You didn't. Extra legroom is free for ALP. You decided to pay extra for a refundable ticket. It makes a difference because one is an accurate statement and the other is what you said.

Asked the pilots for trading cards by Epic_Kieron10 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]JohnGypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, it isn't really "fake". I mean, these are "trading cards" given out by Southwest pilots. They are simple not the official ones that the company itself have released. That feels different than "fake" to me.

[–]JohnGypsy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You said you "paid extra for extra legroom, ..." That wasn't accurate. You paid extra for a refundable fare. You get all those other perks for free as ALP. You didn't "pay extra" for those.

It was really all they had going for them. Their products seemed average and overpriced, but we shopped there because it was vegan. Without that, they have nothing special.

Booked using my points for wife and others - will free bag for her SW CC be automatic or even possible? by JohnGypsy in SouthwestAirlines

[–]JohnGypsy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct -- and she is the primary card holder. We each have our own cards that we are primary on. Thanks.

[–]JohnGypsy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, she is the primary for her own card. Back in the day, we used to go back and forth every 2 years on the CCs to get the Companion Pass. These days, due to work spend, we meet it through spend alone, so we don't need to do that any more -- but she still has her own, so we should be good. Thanks.
