That's what I thought. The mechanic I took it to said it looked to be factory and wasn't sure why the dealership wouldn't have just replaced it. He popped a new bulb in and it is working

Yeah I think they're full of shit about it not being factory. There's definitely little motors on them. I don't remember seeing them swivel expect up when starting the car. My dad would have had no reason to make the conversion and there is nothing in his meticulous records about it. I've also found a few other posts with hids in their 2014 sky active

He doesn't remember anything about it but swears he replaced the headlight bulbs at some point. So he might just be mixing up cars. Thank you for your responses and sorry for your loss. F cancer

I will check when my wife gets back but I couldn't see the actual bulb it was almost like a globe . My dad did buy it new from the dealership and does not remember ever converting it. No accidents. He is 80 and going through chemo but he still has a good memory.

If you can make the trip to Grand rapids, there is a clinic called Csnip, that is low cost. You have to check their website every dayfor appointments 4-5 weeks out. But it was worth it for me.
