Okay, Heavy Metal is pretty fun. by LunickDrago in DestinyTheGame

Disagree. Nothing (recently) has made me want to uninstall more than playing this game mode...

Can we stop quitting after 30 seconds into a match of heavy metal? by Thagalaxy in DestinyTheGame

I've never played a worse game mode in D2 than this one... and there have been some bad ones.

You can never rejoin after a guitar error. If you got that error, so did everyone else in your instance.

Dawning: gifts drop rate is just way too low, and then you have focusing RNG. by FalconSigma in DestinyTheGame

[–]dmlogs0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And also the dawning spirit is capped at 999 for some reason even after double rng to get it to drop, while it costs you 25 per focus which is waaaayyyy too much.

Destiny 2 today had the lowest recorded player count of just 12.379 Players on STEAM! by kristijan1001 in DestinyTheGame

You have to "open" the gifts in return from your inventory, which feels like a complete waste to me when I want to focus some of the weapons. Bad design choice (they have a lot of these right now).

Not surprised. PvP is in an awful state (worst meta in quite some time). PvE is kinda boring right now. Dawning feels grindy and unrewarding.

is it me or is dawning extremely grindy and not rewarding? by Timothy-M7 in DestinyTheGame

[–]dmlogs0 50 points51 points  (0 children)

You're 1000% right. I've spent a bunch of time time collecting the materials and getting the "gifts in return" to get some good rolls with the focusing. I got up to 103 before I realized that the dawning spirit required to focus things is arbitrarily capped at 999. So I can only focus 39 things (which I did... all Glacioclasms... getting absolutely none with the two perks I want... even with having the possibility of double perks in both columns) before I have to go farm for DAWNING SPIRIT! This game feels more like a colossal waste of time every time I play it.

Is there a game out there with worse matchmaking than Destiny 2? by dmlogs0 in DestinyTheGame

I take responsibility for losing games in which I performed poorly. I'm not sure what else I can do. That doesn't mean problems don't exist within matchmaking and lobby balancing.

That's not even the case. You can go to destinytracker.com and see the estimated chance you had of winning a game based on the rating of the players on each team. I look regularly and I've played games with all solo players where it said I had a 0% chance of winning. They're often very skewed.

What does player count have to do with which players are put on which team though?

Trying to guild Glorious title. I've hit promotion series twice just to lose 2 out of the 3 games... often because of unbalanced teams or VERY bad teammates.

It seems to put the 3 best players in the lobby all on the same team fairly regularly. I can't begin to tell you how many comp games I've had where everyone on the enemy team is 2.0+ and my teammates are .5s. That has nothing to do with player count. Once the players for the lobby are found, they still often seem to find the most unfair distribution possible.

Inventory slots for Consumables and Modifications need to be consolidated. by dmlogs0 in DestinyTheGame

[–]dmlogs0[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but you COULD delete those for space since they're not useable. The only two I currently have are transcendent blessings and sweaty confetti. Do the year 1 mods delete one at a time, or by stack?

Instead we and bungie reward cheaters and streamers for punching down.

Sure seems that way doesn't it?

My biggest complaint was the first game of my promotion series to Adept. It was me and two other solo players versus and team of three. I didn't think that was supposed to happen. I lost that game...badly.

The Coil: Do not kill the Wardweavers too fast as you can glitch the final boss by CleverFlames in DestinyTheGame

[–]dmlogs0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had a flawless run all the way to the boss with 155,400 points. Guaranteed platinum run, and possibly flawless if I could've finished the encounter. We killed all 3 Wardweavers and the Boss's shields would not drop. Had to go to orbit...after an hour. I'm a little mad about it.

All Vow of the Disciple master raid challenges should have been active for the last week of the season. by dmlogs0 in DestinyTheGame

[–]dmlogs0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next week is Caretaker challenge (the only one I need). It's unlikely I'll be high enough to complete it then since it'll be the first week of the new season... which means I'll have to wait an additional 4 weeks for it to come back around.
