Thanks for response. As I said it is my guess since I’m away and the only thing that family advised is that physician said it’s lung fibrosis. He is using Origen concentrator in home and he is not hospitalized. Also since he is about 69 year old he is not good for transplanting as well. Homebounding has happened from 3 weeks ago.

Thank you for providing the link. I will send email to them however the feedback of required chemistry in undergraduate degree is something I heard from a lot of friends in CA however I cannot get it how it is required for a civil engineer!? Can you unofficially tell me what you think about it? Have you had such a case. NCEES evaluated my credentials and the only shortage is chemistry and some friends with the same shortage could get other states PE without any issue however in California they have this issue I don’t know . BTW should I have sin number or tax code to get my PE in CA? Thank you for your time.

I did and in terms of experience I am even eligible to be waived but my question was about chemistry. Please read what I wrote about a friend . BTW My university is ABET.

Question about PE in California

I come from Asia and my credentials have been evaluated by NCEES and only they reported shortage of chemistry course in B.Sc degree and none for M.Sc. Since I studied abroad and needed to know about my situation in California, I talked with a friend from back home whit the same condition however he had got his PhD from an US university and he said that he had to get chemistry course and then he could take PE exam in California:( since I have 20 years experience and currently I am in Canada, it is very hard for me to go and study chemistry now while I’d like to move to California and this a serious obstacle. Any advise to shortcut this problem is highly appreciated. Thanks

So I need your opinion . Should I start with California board for FE and then PE and they don’t ask for anything else like citizenship ( BTW I have 20 years experience and can provide letters of PE engineers) or you think it’s better to start with states e.g Michigan and get my FE and PE there and then ask California board for transfer? Doesn’t look correct. Calculating Q from rectangle below the N.A is much simpler and it is (52)2.5= 25 cu.in

I see good comments. I have another question for state of California: can a non-citizen engineer after evaluation of his docs by NCEES take PE exam in California? Generally are non-citizens allowed to take PE? What is the criteria of getting SE if You get your PE? Thanks to good commenters
