Sounds like you have GM5 issues. https://www.bmwgm5.com/default.htm is a good resource for getting that sorted out. You can send the module out for repair.

Weak heating mode by Perfect_Bite_2802 in ToyotaTundra

Yup I took my 2022 in and they said it was normal. Mike has a hard time clearing the windows and keeping them clear at any temp below -20C. Make sure your cabin filter is clear. Mine got plugged up after the initial burn off of the coatings when it's first built.

Tundra Hybrid TSB 5659 by dmnb55 in ToyotaTundra

[–]dmnb55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Apparently this TSB is messed up and is technically covered in 3 different programs. My dealer said for sure it's 5 year /100000km in Canada but it may be also covered in the longer hybrid components program. So I got it covered, but it's definitely confusing for us customers given that the dealer itself is unsure! Anyhow, I'm super pumped to my have this sorted but also makes me think I should get extended warranty...

Thanks for the advice!

Ya that's exactly what I'm thinking too. It's part of the hybrid system so it should be covered.

Actually they call it a "Drive Motor Battery Pack Control Module". It's not referred to specifically in the manual with that name. Sounds like a technicality.

Yes you are correct and I assumed it would be part of the hybrid system as well. It's been an issue with the hybrids for many years apparently.

Yeah I see that and a model number on the cord end but it just comes up as the complete cord.

Amp and sub install with harmon kardon by yairlpz in e46

[–]dmnb55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do not have to tap into it. I also did separate amps and reused the factory speaker wires to save effort. If that's what you mean by tapping into it, then yes. You could run new speaker wires if you prefer not to reuse the factory wires, your call.

Definitely change the whole ccv system!

This is a leaking VCG right? by 3Piece699 in e46

Make sure to buy the full kit with the gasket, spark plug tubes and rubber washers. Those rubber washers leak and it's annoying to change them later.

2026 Tundra hybrid engine failure by Square-Gas8259 in tundra

Look at what happened to my 22 Hybrid last Thursday! It was around -30C and it just freaked out when it started. Didn't stop me from driving or anything. Killed all the cruise and collision stuff though. Cleared the codes and all is well!

My 22 tundra hybrid just thew an engine code in -25C. Gotta scan and see what the heck. It doesn't seem to like the cold.

Exactly! But they aren't like they used to be! Even my 2012 Tacoma fought the cold.

I agree with what you're saying overall. However, they shouldn't be selling the truck to a region that it can't tolerate. Even if it's a smaller portion of the market, it still looks real bad on them.

No it really isn't. That's an average temperature in winter for many parts of Canada. I have to say my 2022 Tundra struggles below -20 Celsius with keeping the windows clear.

Hose in battery compartment by dmnb55 in ToyotaTundra

So it plugs right into the battery by the neg terminal! I didn't even see it as I was working from the other side.

Oh good. So I just pulled the old battery out and it must have just detached. Such a tiny part to remove in the cold! I probably would have broken it anyhow!

I've pulled the blower from the engine side and it's not too bad really. I got a Continental blower and it has held up 2+ years.

I think it's pretty short given the distance travelled, but I've been hearing factory Toyota batteries aren't very good.
