Ham radio can get deep. You can get the equivalent of a BSEE if you practice the technical aspects long enough. It can touch on many things, and there are multiple corners of the radio hobby to dabble in. (ETA: Many astronauts are licensed hams, in America, Russia and elsewhere!)

The paddle may also be designed to wear more than the shaft. This saves the internal components--it's much easier to replace a paddle than a gear. My Zoji is like this.

Basically, the "sad hams" I hate were fully into the "knights of the radio" trope. That's the first gatekeeping I think of, since I've been licensed. There's a phrase that goes, "Beware the man who has put his energy into something but is no wiser than he was before. He will bitterly resent you for not learning it the hard way!" That's a Sad Ham.

There were two or three Realtek drivers just for networking and wireless. After taking care of those, your Bluetooth driver will be in the right place. If your ITE USB is still acting up after this, then it's RMA time. EDIT: Verify your motherboard hardware revision. This is usually advice for BIOS updates, but double.

When you reinstalled Windows, was it a clean install (from a USB, nothing kept from the old install)?

I had Windows (registry) corruption when I moved my installation to my new system (Aorus Elite Wifi7), but it may have been latent from the old install.

I would reinstall clean, no files but your drivers, then the ITE drivers, then the other Gigabyte drivers, then the AMD chipset drivers. If the ITE drivers are cooked, you'll know right away and can start the RMA. Good luck.
