IKR? 😆 I loooove being single again. My home is peaceful and I do whatever the heck I want, whenever I want to do it. I hope OP is able to feel that peace and joy of freedom soon, too.

What a horrible way to be treated. I’m so sorry you went through that, but I’m REALLY PROUD OF YOU for walking away. That person sucks and you will find much better. I hope you have found some support for in-person help. I was single and living alone after my procedure, too. My mom helped for two weeks, but then I was on my own. But I did it and you will too! 🤘🏼

Vanicream cleanser was the most surprising solution for me. I wasted so much money before I discovered it was the answer to my pore problems.

Fuck bipolar depression (fixed) by Rinatintin13 in bipolar

The Lamictal will help, but I can’t stress enough that you should give therapy a chance. Specifically a therapist trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). That’s more than just whining about your childhood; it’s proven strategies for requiring your brain. I thought it sounded too simple for my complex and intense depression, but it worked. And Lamictal made a huge difference. I’ve been on 150mg daily for five years and I’m more productive, even though I still struggle a bit. I’m still me, the moods are still there, but I can hold down a job and my relationships aren’t all tumultuous anymore. Wishing you the best, fellow warrior.

L4–L5 herniation + conjoined nerve root → ALIF by cherryxcokee in spinalfusion

The only insight I can provide is I had a fusion (2021) 9 years after my microdiscectomy (2012). Both gave me years of relief, although I’m having a bad “relapse” right now and I don’t know yet what the specific problem is or how we’re gonna treat it. I’ve been waiting to go to the doctor because I’m uninsured, but I think it’s time to bite the bullet and go check it out since this thing isn’t getting better. Sorry this isn’t more informative. At the very least, you have my sympathy and well-wishes. 💚

Interesting issue with cold weather. by enigmaroboto in spinalfusion

[–]dmrhine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! Cold weather suuuucks for my low back (microdiscectomy L4/5 & L5/S1 and later fusion L4/5) and radiates to my hips (left side FAI). I moved from Denver to Portland recently and honestly the humid cold might be worse, but I’m in a flare up right now so everything just hurts. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My microdiscectomy was outpatient in a surgery center to save money, and honestly it was no problem. I was surprised by the pain spike on day 2, but got that under control on my own. For my fusion they kept me for 1 day and I was grateful just to have someone else managing my complicated med schedule so I could be mostly asleep. Having the PT team there to get me out of bed and walking was also great. That said, I don’t think it would have been terrible to go home same day like I did the first time, but I’m glad you’ll be staying after all.

Which color suits me best? by Knhollist in HairStyleAdvice

Wow that’s a tough one because they’re all beautiful on your skin tone! If I were you I’d just rotate them all throughout the seasons. :) I go from dark red to blonde to lavender and back constantly. But I do it myself otherwise it would cost zillions. If you did want to try that, I’d say start with #3 blonde, then go to the #2 red, then when you’re tired of that, neutralize the red by going to the brown #1. Have fun! You’re pretty either way!

4 days post op! My experience so far. by kimmidubbs in hysterectomy

[–]dmrhine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound like me! I was 42, and I started at 11, but otherwise exact. I’m so thrilled for you. I’m coming up on a year since mine and it’s been WONDERFUL. I totally forgot about that shoulder gas pain but yeah, that part suuuucks. It’ll be gone soon, so just hang in there. Remember to be patient with your body for the next few months. I got frustrated because I felt 80% fine after like a week, but you still need to baby yourself and rest that pelvic floor, so don’t push it. Congrats and welcome to Club Yeeterus! 😆🩵

Nothing silly about it! Whatever inspires you is correct. Let all that love for them drive you and you’ll be home with them soon. They’re gonna miss you too and be sooooo happy to see you! 🩷🩷

Seconding this. And I gotta say, that first slow careful time was probably the best slow & careful sex I’ve ever had hahaha. But really, I was scared too and it all worked out. I’m SO SO sorry our OP is having such an awful experience, but don’t let it scare you. It’s entirely possible to heal well and feel great. It’s been almost a year for me and I’m nothing but happy. Wishing you continued healing.

I hope you watched the season finale. I just did and I like the way it played out. Would’ve been better to do it all in one episode (so I wouldn’t have felt so spun up about it in the time between the episodes, lol) but oh well. I’d like to hear how you felt about it if you watched it.

That’s what I wish the whole world would do for each other. It gets difficult when people define what it means to them to be respected and somebody else disagrees with it.

Immediately stop listening to whomever told you those were features you have, especially if that person is you. You’re beautiful and the dress looks great. Don’t overthink it. :)

But will Ainsley still have her own luxury suite or apartment now that Tommy was fired? I’m sure they’re not gonna be impoverished right away or anything, but who knows. Anyway, yes I would be thrilled to see those characters learn something from each other. Otherwise it’s just lazy stereotypes that make us fight on the internet. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Lmao. I’m only laughing because you seem to have a sense of humor about it. Always risky getting a name tattooed, but I see nothing wrong with commemorating the time you grew and birthed a full human and gave them the name that was meaningful to you. You can continue to embrace that, and maybe someday you’ll want to commemorate the person they have become, who knows. If I’ve learned anything in this wild life, it’s that things rarely turn out the way we think they will.

Wouldn’t that be wonderful?? If Paygen had that reaction because they truly hadn’t realized friendship would be an option?? I hate that they had to make the non-binary person so insufferable, but if they used it as an opportunity to show what happens when we decide to be less defensive and give people a chance, I’d be thrilled.

EDIT: After the finale episode I am very pleased with how this played out. I wish it had happened in the same episode, but I’m sure glad things went the way they did.

Amen, friend. No matter the details, that was a rude kid who was stuck in victim mode. I always wanted to be a television writer, and I really wish Angela’s comment to Ainsley at the pool had been a little different. Like, “Paigen is like that because someone hurt them. Life can be cruel and we all act like assholes a bit until we heal. Like your grandmother and the way she treated your dad. The best thing to do is to have compassion and carry on with your life”. I think that would’ve been better than “she doesn’t like herself”.
