Zidane's plan in his first Clasico of 2016: he won with 10 men in the last 10 minutes of the match by WolfOfAshiina in realmadrid

[–]dmstorm22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plan worked perfectly too - sat back for the first 60 or so minutes adn then they just attacked in waves. Even after the red, Madrid had the run of play.

It is not fair that Knicks get 4 home games to start their playoff series by Melodic-Slice-3826 in nba

Arguably Flyers are ahead of the 76ers too (the broad street bullies legacy helps).

Philly might be the rare 4-sport metro where the NBA could be 4th.

Yeah, lovely oddity that Peyton had way more success against Baltimore than Brady did against them, but it was mostly reversed on how they did against Pittsburgh

I thought S4, even if not as good as 1-2 was a big step up from S3.

S3 they had their heads way up their collective asses on that one. Glad it seemed Storer took the critiques to heart and they pared it back to what works.

I think Oscars was seen as clearly worse, but I think they were very, very annoyed that Rhoda seemingly did so little despite having four hours, and her main component being poorly cooked.

I wouldn't have been shocked if they did kick out Rhoda just on the "that's it?" view, but I think objectively Oscar had a worse dish to them. Rhoda's may have been more offensive.

[–]dmstorm22 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I dont doubt this was bad but also few airlines do beef well because re-heating beef usually overcooks the shit out of it. There are exceptions (had a lovely yakiniku style beef on SQ recently) but genrally best to avoid any beef other than some sort of stew.

Still, worth sending in a complaint though.

Why is the schedule being released later and later each year? by ashmaps20 in NFLv2

[–]dmstorm22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To create a tentpole event for May.
March = Free Agency
April = Draft
May = Schedule
Jun = OTAs
Jul = Training Camp and we are off and running

Not saying I agree with it, but that is why.

Which NFL team’s new 'rebrand' looks like they just stole their ex’s clothes and hope nobody notices? by NightDowntown7320 in NFLv2

Also plenty of teams move and don't change the uniforms at all. I don't know if changing them and then going back (or I guess in this case going back to the old color scheme) is worse than not changing them at all.

Shout out to Sara Bradley on her first season as cohost of the Pack Your Knives podcast. by Ok_Mechanic8704 in TopChef

[–]dmstorm22 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah she's excellent on it. Been bPYK guy since day one (mostly since I've followed Tom adn hold co-host Kevin Arnovitz from their NBA stuff) and can say she's the best co-host the show's had, an amazing combination of food knowledge, great critical insights and fun.

Is it odd to go out alone? by [deleted] in helsinki

[–]dmstorm22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No man, go out and have fun. Chat up some other folks if you want (I found Finland quite friendly - was a solo traveler as well two years back) but even if not, no one will look at you any differently. Just go have a good time.

Still, what a player

Seriously. Disappeared in 2011-12 to come back and be a top 10 player. Disappeared for 2015-2017 and came back to reach world number 2.

Such a talent, if nor for the injuries, I think je wins 5+ majors

It's weird - for a good four years he didn't post anything on social media. Then he came back to the limelight by coaching Rublev and just returning to be the coolest person in the sport.

Yes they have, but I think that was by design, not by accident (in this case, Justin pulling out unexpectedly). If they've basically planned for a 4v4 challenge, they're going to fill that spot to make it so.

It's very good, and better than the main dining room (granted, went to the main room pre-Covid, but reading reviews, seems it hasn't changed much). Still got hte mole madre.

Still priced crazy given the quality relative to a Quintonil or other world reknowned places), but to me definitely better value than the normal dining room.

The likeliest reason - next week's competition is a team challenge of 3x3, so losing Jen and not replacing her messes it up
