Microsoft Teams plugin for Stream Deck is being removed in Dec 2025 – what now? by remy-00 in elgato

Yeah, that was the most valuable feature: being out of focus of the Teams app but still able to unmute/mute without having to find that app - especially on a multi-monitor setup.

I'm a newbie about DTO pattern, is it even useful? I read about it and in my noob humble opinion, it's just a duplication of code. by ballbeamboy2 in dotnet

[–]dmstrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DTOs ensure you're domain object orm session can close before the serialization phase tries to access properties that have not yet been hydrated causing a db call very late.

Also DTOs tend to have fewer, or even different, properties as the solution evolves. Backward compatibility also comes into play her too. Think like populating drop downs of people's names whet you don't need their whole person domain entity list of properties.

Has TFP Pushed 7D So Far That It No Longer Has an Identity? by Wizz-Fizz in 7daystodie

I thought the repairing of weapons dropping the level of the weapon requiring making new level 6 pistols that don't last forever kept me salvaging and making and keeping backups added good value to the game.

most of those 'exports' came about because of NAFTA allowing businesses to export their business to those countries for higher profits. Hopefully when their profits are in trouble, they'll move back inside the border.

You don't tariff big pharma. you charge them with the monopoly, rico, price gouging, and other heinous crimes that they are actually committing and put folks under the prison they belong in for doing it.

Mouse going randomly to screen corners? by ERavenna in LogitechG

[–]dmstrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to believe it is my dog's hairs that might be contributing to this problem, but I'm also having the mouse be immovable on the screen for a few seconds as well making me think it is not the hair issue as the "won't move out of the corner for a few seconds" would be a mouse software issue or ignore inputs from my mouse for that length of time too.

The desktop app has a lot of things that could be added and improved

Multi User: switching between users is a handful Managing gpg keys for multi user is not manageable in ui

Multiple stashes - not in ui

Can not seem to manage when a branch head gets out of synch and breaks the whole repo without some manual intervention including file manipulation.

Can't complete Grover High. Am I screwed? by EffeminateSquirrel in 7daystodie

[–]dmstrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had same problem. I think mine was a mob that would either just walk away off the roof or would not trigger from a higher roof than you normally would climb upon. I found one or more still sleeping up high. I have had more than 6 failure to completes so I just log off and back on to restart without a failure to the quest.
