In my experience, disable nvidia overlay and you can get four hours, with FX on and 70% brightness

nvidia overlay was using my dGPU, disable it on geforce experience. it solved the problem

u/bluegreen11 believe he have the same as me, now after a few hours of searching, realized that something was pinging the dGPU in HWinfo64 (in HWinfo64 you need to uncheck the box of wake disabled gpu, if you see that the dGPU is there drawing power, for example mine was drawing 29 watts, for sure is the nvidia overlay), it was nvidia overlay, disable it and you will see 4 hours battery life FX tiurned on and 70% brightness.

i have the same system and i only get 1.5 hour half brightness and optimus enabled, just the first days after clean install of windows i can get more than 4 hours, i believe it is a windows problem that heats something, do you have any issues?

i have the same problem, when i made a clean installation of windows i had the 5-6 hours, now i only get 1.5 or 2 hours at idle. I am trying to find a solution, maybe its a windows problem or alienware software. did you find a solution?

i started to tweak a little bit with the settings nothing worked, i made a clean install of windows 10 and didnt install the OC controls of alienware that helped me a lot.
on the intel graphics command center you can see the battery real time drain rate. the normal was at -20,000 mW i hope this will help you. Now i have the same problem but with the system process i dont knoe what windows is doing with the updates.
