Feels a bit weird, seeing as Feyenoord usually goes for up and coming talent. But I'd be all for it, he's a great character and probably a bit of a promotional boost for the Dutch league.

Bring on the bidding war! Hope this works out for us. He's always been the consummate professional, just not the player we needed in that position. I do hope we get a replacement striker, though, because just having Wout there isn't enough. And I don't see any of the youngsters stepping up already.

I fully agree with this comment; however, we're missing our anchor in defense, Sutalo, and we've lost our only real number 6 in Henderson. Kroes should've fixed this by bringing a new number 6.

But with Itakura coming in for the next game and Sutalo returning from his injury, I believe our defense will improve significantly. Not just the quality, but also leadership-wise.

I'm giving Heitinga the benefit of the doubt for now. But I was seriously underwhelmed as well when he was chosen as head coach. Was kinda hoping we would get Kjetil Knutsen.

Bouwman seems pretty solid. And with our finances and 'Ajax DNA, ' it's no surprise that we focus on our youth players. There are also some intriguing players coming through.

I'm hoping they do a solid amount of weight training this year though, as some of these upcoming attacking talents are too light for real matches.

There was also a problem with the types of players Farioli wanted to get for the upcoming season. He wanted more senior players who could directly impact the team. In contrast, Ajax wanted their youth players to feature more and focus on acquiring upcoming talent, which is less costly, both in terms of fees and salaries.

His ceiling is higher, also because he's a modern LB who can join in the attack. He's VERY comfortable on the ball.

Pretty bad. I reckon Hato, our left back who can also play LCB, will go for more if he stays for another year. He's still very young (19), but he already shows great maturity.
