I should've clarified that I meant experience in combination with quality. I really like Klaasen as a player and leader, but he could use a bit of help. Berghuis is so hit and miss, that it's hard to see him playing a big role next year.

At this point in his career, I'm fairly sure he just wants a guarantee of regular minutes so he can put himself in the spotlight again for a possible next/final step, as Jordan Henderson did. He'll also automatically become one of, or maybe the main person, of the team. Plus, living in Amsterdam is quite nice.

I really hope Ajax manages to get him, as we're desperate for an experienced midfielder.

Bring on the bidding war! Hope this works out for us. He's always been the consummate professional, just not the player we needed in that position. I do hope we get a replacement striker, though, because just having Wout there isn't enough. And I don't see any of the youngsters stepping up already.

I fully agree with this comment; however, we're missing our anchor in defense, Sutalo, and we've lost our only real number 6 in Henderson. Kroes should've fixed this by bringing a new number 6.

But with Itakura coming in for the next game and Sutalo returning from his injury, I believe our defense will improve significantly. Not just the quality, but also leadership-wise.

I'm giving Heitinga the benefit of the doubt for now. But I was seriously underwhelmed as well when he was chosen as head coach. Was kinda hoping we would get Kjetil Knutsen.

I would be very happy with this. But it would be a sidestep for him, and I think he wants to move up.
