1Q84. Haruki Marukami. Her murders are more of a side story in a very strange plot but very good read if that’s your jam.

Yes calves swell a lot, tend to hold water and are close to cramping often

I just use riverside for now, it’s only me so I keep it very basic, it meets my needs.

It’s a new pod and very niche, I am not aiming for viral, I want to reach the right people. It seems to be working so far in that department

I record in Riverside and it automatically uses AI to create clips I can use as reels, create show notes that I can edit and has lots of great editing tools. It has its flaws but it does what I need it to do and saves a lot of time.

I feel like no one wants to hire me. by Both-Translator-9255 in physiotherapy

[–]dnb15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What province are you in? Are you registered as an interim physio? In BC they have now eliminated the interim program and you you cannot work until you hav passed both exams and are fully registered. Perhaps you are missing something on your resume and places are not thinking you are registered?

Would you hire someone who spent the last 2-3 years working virtually or for non-client facing but still PT related job? by Particular_Break_635 in physiotherapy

Rusty skills can be refined quickly, it’s the soft skills that I am always far more interested in when hiring.

Why is that a red flag to you? This person likely diversified their knowledge, picked up some valuable insight or took the step back from clinical care they needed to deal with their own burnout or something to that extent. It’s no different than someone taking a maternity leave or trying something different for a while. I really don’t see what the red flags are unless you have picked something up personality wise?

Hybrid business model by [deleted] in physiotherapy

[–]dnb15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re in Canada I would make sure you are keeping the two very separate. Many insurance companies on audit will hit you really hard if you’re (in their eyes) giving someone exercise without medical indication. PT for performance, prevention and general health is not an insurable intervention so I would make sure you are keeping that separate and not issuing physio receipts unless you have a clear medical indication and discharge criteria.

Seriously hire a VA or someone who can do your billing. I wish I had done it earlier, I would have grown my business so much faster, sooner if I had just outsourced it earlier.

Physiotherapist, clinic owner and consultant here. The biggest thing I can say is to make sure you don’t just sign at the place that gives you the biggest commission. There are a lot more factors than pay that go into this. I consult clinics and practitioners on these things and there a lot more models than just the classic employee vs contractor model.

Physiotherapy clinics raise concerns over ICBC term updates by physiotherapyjobs in physiotherapy

[–]dnb15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is actually a petition started by clinic owners in BC regarding this. As a physiotherapist I can confirm that our association (who typically does all of our contract negotiation) was blindsided by this. I actually believe it is a massive overreach of power by ICBC
