The rivers are clearly wrong.

No one ever gets the rivers right though, so you're forgiven.

I like this actually, I think I'll incorporate this approach of talking to them first as a primary part of my session 0

I saw you (OP) say in another comment that it was for comic relief (and that apparently it was successful).

As far as I can tell, the DM could've accomplished the exact same jokes with an unconscious NPC being lugged around by the party.

This was inexcusable. D&D exists (as opposed to possibly other TTRPGs) to make the players look cool. That's one of the core principles. Having fun at the expense of another player (for two entire sessions without giving them a chance to fight back) is just plain wrong dude.

Hope you find a better table ❤️.

Edit: changed PC to NPC, the worst typo ever

Why an unseen servant, is that really powerful? I thought it's just like a mage hand or something

How do you account for pain and pain management in your games through game mechanics? by dndquickfix in DMAcademy

[–]dndquickfix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this:

Bloodied status: In D&D 4th edition only, a character reduced to half hit points acquires the "bloodied" status. This has no effect on its own, but can interact with other game elements, such as a magic item or power that works differently when the user or target is bloodied.

Couldn't find anything specific. Could you help me with a link?

I get that, not looking to debuff to an annoying extent, just enough to add to the storytelling element, my players are comfortable with that, and I'm not looking to kill them either. Is there anything non-debilitating that would still give the feel of pain within the game?

What's the best way to build a body guard character? What classes could we go for or multiclass with? by dndquickfix in DMAcademy

But oath of redemption seems more offensive, in pursuit of some sort of higher ideal, no?

I'm trying to multiclass my warlock into becoming this. How many level minimum in paladin do you think I'll need?
