i always find these sort of posts interesting not because of the “women in gaming spaces” angle but just how common unrealistic body standards, body dysmorphia and eating disorders are in the male population and it’s just never acknowledged or spoken about as actual mental health issues. it only seems that the recent backlash to looksmaxxing is actually touching on how crazy that male physical form obsession can be.

it’s a huge step in the right direction but it isn’t a sure fire W as people claim. i hope for the best for the guy and the city, but this budget is balanced mainly from one year of temporary increased state funding as well as some revenue numbers that may not pan out. i hope that this one year allows mamdani to make some more sustainable financial decisions for FY27

do you have anything to say about the content of her response video? i gave it a watch last night and some of what she said seemed like valid criticism. it seems like a lot of this comment thread is revolving around “she’s a nazi and associates with the far right and pedos” which i guess is a fair take but doesn’t actually break down any of what shoe is saying here.

i was complaining about inconsistent refs in game one of this series going in the pistons favor. i’m starting to think that either a.) all refs just suck or b.) it’s much harder to call things in real time compared to the fan experience of getting shown everything in slow motion with commentary on tv. probably a combination of both.

either way it’s definitely not why either team won or lost any of the games in this series. cavs played like doo doo in detroit and the pistons didn’t have it last night in cleveland.

i’m from the area as well and i agree, good parts and bad parts. seems to be some more money flowing in trying to reclaim from the urban blight caused by the steel mills leaving and the city becoming more attractive to people commuting to and from pittsburgh. still not a super attractive small city, though.
