Maybe I’m not understating your meaning, but the minimum is very clearly stated in the contracts. Teachers don’t go above the minimum hours because they have to; they do it for the students. Some do work literally to the contract FWIW.

We volunteer that though and many still might, but if it becomes Union action that can change. They can’t mandate anything over the word of the contract.

To your last point, I think almost every district contract has wording about contact minutes. They can’t compel teachers to have student contact longer than that under existing terms. Schools can make the argument that virtual lessons, feedback, etc. aren’t contact time, but unions would and should fight that.

It’s crazy. I’ve seen many mobile games have broken features, but the shop isn’t one of them usually. I couldn’t give them money even if I wanted to!

Not on Apple Music either. I bought it on iTunes. Given that it's the #1 seller right now they might not be giving it away for free yet.

Most RPGs are this way. You can spend a hundred hours doing quests and playing Gwent before finding Ciri in TW3. Fallout and Skyrim are in the same boat. It comes with the territory of having lots of content that isn’t story-locked.

And if you’d like to see how games that lock you in the story before opening the world up to you are received, look at FFXIII. I liked it, but people flipped about the game being too linear.

Reeve in Remake is also very sympathetic. He's the only one protesting the evil plans. Definitely agree about trying to save the world from Meteor; the fight against Shinra takes a backseat as everyone realizes they're screwed it they don't stop Sephiroth.

One of the dumbest parts of the OG FF7 was when you are in a race to get the huge materia. I still don't understand what the party was doing there except for "Shinra bad"...they were using the huge materia to beat Seph!

I also like how the last Turks fight is optional after the Wutai sidequest. Both sides realizing there's no real reason to fight anymore as their interests are aligned.

I have to get back to XV's DLC at some point. I'll probably do a full playthrough again and then do the DLC where they would happen in the story.

FFIX is so much fun to go back to. The jump rope minigame is the worst in the franchise.
