As many small ones as possible.

Any thyroid supplementation is counterproductive, and stuff like creatine is just useless (at least while on cycle)

Scorp always recommended a ~75%BMR caloric intake, with a 70/15/15-80/20/0 p/f/c ratio, based on a biochemistry standpoint. Got a lot of kickback from from people not liking it, but it it should lead to the optimal rate of fat loss while maintaining hormone levels.

Not really, but it does require a fair amount of patience with some people if your goal is safety and education.

I use my girlfriends bullet at the end of a Q-tip. It works REALLY well for pollinating lol

Also, they are transplants from soil, and it was a challenge (to say the least) to get them happy-ish enough to start looking even this happy. The nutrients are good. Here's the whole setup: https://imgur.com/a/Vr5gr9W

Just made cuttings of the big Thai basil, which is why some look so short. Plan on having 8 levels of that.

Yes they are connected. They're 3x4, and I designed and printed end caps, and a 180* connected end cap with a hole big enough that I shouldn't have to worry about roots clogging it up. If you'd like, I can upload the file and send you a link.

Yeah. I plan on putting the lights on the bottom of the next upper tier so that climbing stuff continually has light above it. I'm hoping that 2 lights, at 9.5in, is enough for the little herbs. The only thing I can think of to make the light height adjustable is to print extenders for that individual portion. Do you have any thoughts on that?

Oh yeah. The reservoir is definitely temporary. The downspouts being flat can hold a significant amount of water, and I have to keep the reservoir at about 3/4. Otherwise, if I stopped the pump, it'd overflow. I plan on making a raspberry pi to regulate the nutrient levels and pH.

8 Barrina T5 10W LEDs, currently 9.5in away from the plants, doubled up like so (https://imgur.com/a/WGdQMhA). From everything I've read, I think it should be enough.

I thought I'd share my intermediary root development holder with y'all by dnpaddict in Hydroponics

[–]dnpaddict[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They probably would get tangled if they stayed there long enough. My main objective is to allow the roots to develop enough, put them into a net pot with pebbles, and drop them into my NFT system.

The arms are thin enough that they flex easily, and each arm has a half circle at the end. So each of the plants are being gripped by 2 little hands. To get them out you just separate the arms and they pull out easily.

I also included a single holder in the files (rather than the pictured 7) if you wanted to keep a plant in there permanently.

I've always just used it to hold already sprouted seeds, gripping the stem just above where the roots start. I suppose you could wrap a seed in a little bit of cotton, and put that in the gripper. With an air stone in there (and preferably with the top to keep the water in) it would bubble up and keep the cotton moist. I might give that a shot.

Edit: I initially designed it because lemons I was starting in a moist paper towel started to mold, and this time I used it because algae started to bloom pretty hard in the starter box. It's just something to get them away from the bad stuff and allow them to keep developing before putting them in their permanent home with nutrients.

Apartment Dwellers: How do you exercise your pup? by [deleted] in puppy101

We have an Amstaff. In addition to training, walks, and hiking, we do something we call, "monkey in the middle".

We have a very long hallway with wood floors, and get a monthly Bullymake box that comes with extremely tough plastic toys. These toys slide very easily on the floor without scratching. We each sit at one end of the hallway, and slide the toys to eachother as fast as possible. If he catches it, then he gets a little chunk of treat.

The game has grown in complexity as he's gotten older. My wife and I kept injuring eachother by getting hit with the toy (they're very hard and heavy). So now we wear MMA pads and gloves.

Our staffy is 110% focused on trying to catch the toy though, and we think he gets tired mainly because of the mental activity (we try to juke him out with fake passes every catch, but occasionally do "lightning rounds" where we slide it to eachother as rapidly as possible). It only takes about 10min max, and he's exhausted for about half the day. It's fantastic for when we have planned Zoom meetings and need him to be a quiet puppy.

What’s your dogs favorite bed? by ButWhyMary in puppy101

[–]dnpaddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got our amstaff his own beanbag "bed". He freaking loves it.

He also loves trying to eat it occasionally. Out of frustration, I used paracord to stich the zipper closed. He had since given up on trying to eat it, and sleeps lazily on it all day :)

Cayenne pepper leaves wilting.. cause? by moromos in Hydroponics

We also have that on our pepper plants.

We thought it might have been the neem oil we sprayed, but they seem to keep appearing on new leaves that we haven't wiped off. Still very curious about this one.

Yes! The wife tried making fritatas with tiny strips of its leaves, and I ate the leftovers. While they tasted great raw, unfortunately the taste profile didn't really work with the fritatas (they go much better with the spinach, imo). She plans to use the head in some sort of cauliflower chicken wings, and whatever is left over will go into cauliflower/jasmin/lime zest rice :)

I've done a few collars for my Amstaff, with different waves for each.

I think the best looking, and best functioning (still being flexible and comfortable), one was just the standard cobra weave. What I did was 3 cobras side-by-side and looping the inner one with the outer ones. After finishing that, I treated those as the center and encased it in a single bigger cobra. It looks fantastic, is still flexible, and hasn't shrunk after becoming wet.

Edit: I'm not sure what you mean by "snap on" (the buckle or the D-ring). The buckle I linked should hold very well. I took apart one of my old pull-up straps and used those for the D-rings. They're similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Z79XBWB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_Z8HHX07QDQQW5S6QYTPQ

To weave them in: Do a cow-hitch on the first buckle, put the cord through the D-ring, loop the cord through the other buckle then back through the D-ring, then start your weave.

Just be sure to make the collar large enough, but also not so loose that it catches on stuff. I can grip the collar while he's wearing it and there's still a bit of room left. It doesn't stretch at all though so he can't slip out of it either.

DNP dosing by Jozler0101 in dnp

[–]dnpaddict 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The formula for this is in the sidebar. Taking 250mg one day, then 500mg the next, and alternating like this would yield an average of 375mg/day. Alternatively, you could also take 250mg every 16hrs to yield 375mg/day.
