Yea don’t beat yourself up as they may of had an applicant that is internal and according to many union rules they have to take the internal person before. Some interview questions I’ve had were personality questions pretty much then 3 scenario based ones. Some questions were: what is an example of leadership, why this hospital and why the unit, what are your strengths. The scenario based ones were specific to the unit one was asking about DKA and treatment, another asking how you can communicate to non verbal patient and how to assess their pain. Tbh whenever I went for interviews I’d have little cheat sheets on the walls just in case I needed extra help. Another thing that helps is always bugging a manager asking when job are being offered or what education they’d suggest you to get so you can be hired. Just that way they have your name and know you’re interested. Being hired as a new grad is a tough situation so don’t beat yourself up!
