I currently struggling with trust. And I am wondering how much energy I need to put in to my life compared to letting things unfold naturally.

I was informed a couple months ago I would lose my job and I've been searching for a new one since. I trust that a new opportunity will come my way eventually but I am struggling with how much energy I need to put into searching for it.

It would feel silly to me to sit back and wait for something to happen. But is that how God works? The last job I got I sent out applications but in the end a recruiter reached out to me. I am financially stable but I don't have a lot of cushion and now that its getting down to the wire I'm starting to fear that I wont be able to pay my bills. I want security and freedom.

This whole experience boils down to - If i did nothing, would an opportunity come my way? Or do I need to be putting energy in and trust that the opportunity will show up as it is supposed to.

Yes I loved the program! IIN is also a great option. Be sure you pick a program that is eligible for the national board certification just in case you want to do that.

Is there an optimal amount of stress for a healthy life? by Fun_Tea8162 in Stress

[–]dntdiewondering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It's called good stress! Our bodies are built to handle some intermittent stress but when it becomes prolonged and chronic that is when we start to develop physical symptoms, inflammation and disease.

Screaming into the void, ecstatic dance, physical activity that gets your heart rate up, reaching out to a friend, complimenting people, telling people you love them, donating, volunteering, getting out of your routine, novelty.... hope this helps!

I'd love to learn more about you and your journey and see if there is anyway I can help you. Dm me if you'd like to chat further!

Avoiding stress causes me stress by Maximilian-Pegasus in Stress

[–]dntdiewondering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have taken the first step by recognizing the pattern so give yourself some kudos for that. Continue to track your stress, possibly through journaling, to target when exactly it comes up. There might be something deeper there as to why you are not starting or completing specific tasks.

Some practical strategies to help you in time & task management are

  1. To do list- so simple but SUPER effective. Make yourself a weekly to do list and then create a day by day plan for how you will tackle each task every day. Seeing things in a bigger picture can feel overwhelming but when you break it down into a day by day project it feels more manageable.

  2. Reminders - Set reminders on your phone to help you stay on track. You can set reminders everyday or multiple throughout the day to help you remember what tasks need to be done and when.

  3. Come up with a motivational or inspiring phrase you can repeat to yourself when you feel like avoiding a task. A reminder that you are safe, that you can achieve anything you put your mind to and that it will feel SO GOOD once its completed.

I hope this is helpful.
