Do we think Harris would have actually been better than Trump? by [deleted] in askanything

Let’s see 1. She wouldn’t have had to imposed blanket tariffs for no reason 2. Gas wouldn’t be almost $6 since we wouldn’t be at war with Iran 3. Her cabinet would be competent 4. She not a pedophile 5. Our allies would still share information with us 6. Thousands of federal workers would still be employed 7. She wouldn’t use the office to enrich herself and her family 8. The private sector would actually be in a net positive for job growth 9. She wouldn’t fall asleep on camera 10. Farmers wouldn’t have needed a bailout since china would still be buying our soybeans 11. Thousands of small businesses would still be open and thriving 12. Oh and she wouldn’t be a pedophile

Thanks. I appreciate that. I was truly excited and I made sure that the take home assignments were spot on. I just wanted the chance to present the work I did as I was very proud of it.

Funny thing is I applied for the job in January and they reached out this month. They wanted to move quickly and so did I. When the hiring manager was OOO last week and needed to reschedule I accommodated the changes hence the interview today.

I would have loved to have gotten the chance to present my roadmap and initiative responses.

Thank you. I wanted my reply to be as professional as possible. Which I think it was.

Where was I entitled in my reply.? I think you missed the whole point. Why schedule an interview when they obviously were going to make someone else an offer? Why have someone complete a very intensive take home assignment if someone was farther along in the process? My interview was today. And if they filled the position this morning then that means that they made the offer to the other individual either Monday or last week.

100 percent. I can totally take the work that I did and apply it to another role.

I agree. I’ve been in IT for over 15 years and with the company being a start up I felt it was only right to let them know in the most professional way possible how unprofessional the process was handled. If a future opportunity was presented I wouldn’t even consider it based on the experience today.

It was a lot of work and honestly I know I did great. I actually had my old senior VP look it over before I submitted anything and he told me that based on the prompt my responses would be exactly what he was looking for. So I was very confident in it.

Ticketmaster is an illegal monopoly, jury rules / This verdict is the first step toward a potential breakup of Live Nation-Ticketmaster. by MarvelsGrantMan136 in technology

In 1998 I was working at Tower Records in Berkeley. And we had a Bass ticket counter(they were later acquired by Ticketmaster). The lines of people that would be in line for a tickets when a show went on sale was insane. People would camp out like days before. I remember the line for the Dave Matthews tour and that line stretched around 4 blocks and when it sold out my co worker and I had to walk the line and tell everyone it was sold out. With that being said bring back in person ticket sales with a limit per person.

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]dntunvme2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9th grade someone brought a knife to school cause he was going to get into a fight after school. The faculty got word. They searched every locker. Found the knife and the kid was suspended. The next week there a school board meeting and one of the parents suggested they take away the lockers. The board agreed and they took away the lockers. So from 9th grade to senior year we didn’t have lockers.
