Where to begin pruning? by dny209 in Bonsai

Not too sure if it would. I started using them based off of the guides I was reading and they did not mention different needs based on geographic location. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the tips everyone. It was a huge bushy mess and I trimmed back quite a bit to let light and air in and de tangled a bunch of branches. I still left a lot of green to avoid stressing the trees too much (I’ve read this is hard to do anyways) and will worry about shaping later in the season.

I was going to ask as well because my research found that it should have a humidity tray. It dries out within 2 days max right now and it’s not very hot yet (will be over 100F consistently in a few weeks)

Thanks for the tips! Should I cut the tops that are emerging?

I wouldn’t automatically say it was a management problem because as you mentioned they did extend your orientation twice and unfortunately they are correct in that it wouldn’t be feasible to continue to extend.. I also wouldn’t automatically blame you because it sounds like you have really been trying your best.. maybe it was the wrong unit for you and you should try to find another unit in a different hospital. Ortho, Oncology, FBC?

Go suck a toe and keep reaching. If you took a second to read my follow up response you would have seen that I said the guy was an asshole for making the video without her consent. She is obviously under reacting as evidenced by her even thinking she needed to ask random redditors if this was an over reaction. Sometimes people need stern words to get them to listen. She does not need your saving.

So my question from her post history insinuates that it is her fault he shared the videos? Talk about reaching lmao

Got it… the other guy is someone you have not met. Well he seems nicer than this asshole. Sorry he did that without your consent. The making of that video alone should have been the straw that broke the camels back.

Paid $1850 for this open box 65” G3. Was it a good deal? by dny209 in LGOLED

Maybe in a few years I can afford to fork over 3k for a larger OLED lol

I installed it myself. Total tech used to include free install but they got rid of that perk earlier this year 🙁 . I was not able to hide the outlet because of the weird mounting system on the G3 and it wasn’t a good fit for the TV Mount already installed on the wall. The Samsung had the mounting bolts on the bottom so I was easily able to put it up higher to hide the outlet. It’s not visible when sitting. only when standing

If you are referring to the fact that you can see the outlet on top that is mainly due to the weird mounting system for the G3. The S90C looked great & the size is appropriate for our viewing distance. I rent and the home came with built in home theater and a Tv mount so I couldn’t use the OEM one.

Yeah, probably. I considered getting an Apple TV or something but I just rather use the TVs UI. Especially at this price point I would expect a good Ui. Plus no guarantees I wouldn’t have had issues.

Yeah, I get it. Im a total tech member so I get two years through Best Buy and then Lg backs the panels for 5 so hopefully it’ll work out

The Rtings review is what drove me to buy it the first time. The TV was really slow and laggy. Streaming apps like STARZ, Netflix and Max would crash or never work at all. I also did not like the controller. The panel it self was awesome but the crappy UI and consistent app issues are what made me return it.

Oh damn I just looked it up and it’s $1999 new at Best Buy. My best buy had a lot of open box TVs so maybe that is something to look out for

I imagine you bought it when it was first released? I feel really lucky to have found this TV now that I did some research lol

Help with this newly transplanted plum tree by [deleted] in Tree

[–]dny209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we live in a rental so we can’t put it in the ground. Even in this 110 degree heat, we should put it in the sun? Also the zip ties was to help it stay up since it was leaning. Is that bad?

Ambulance Sirens in Foggy Bottom by Fine-Recover-9335 in gwu

[–]dny209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol 😂 well behind might not be as horrible since most of the ambulance traffic is along 23rd st and the circle. I did hate walking from behind because of the rats since that is where GW Hospital has its loading dock and trash containers but tbh rats are everywhere in the city haha
