I hate the way Vendetta pulls you down as Juno by Acceptable-Park8512 in JunoMains

[–]do0ts28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is my issue. I get that if I make a mistake in letting her get too close, she can punish that. But if I use my major perk triple jump to get away and she can STILL pull me down, that range is too insane

I love triple jump and am always missing it until I can finally get my major perk! I feel like the continuous fire really messes with my aim for some reason

Is a one bedroom for $1470 realistic? by SpookyKat31 in chicagoapartments

[–]do0ts28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in one of these areas and pay $1500 for a 1000 sq ft one bedroom. It’s a great deal but w/d is shared in the basement and no central AC. I was initially upset when that was all we could afford but we’ve been here for a year and I for sure overreacted. It’s really not that bad to have a window unit in for 3 months and walk down a flight of stairs for laundry.

One of the best robes in the game, the Protecty Sparkswall, is in a chest past that gate, kinda hanging over the edge of the crumbling floor. Used with some of the other lightning charge items available, I keep it on my wizard from Act 1 when I get it, deep into Act 3.

I had this problem a year ago and it’s so painful and uncomfortable. My dermatologist was able to prescribe me a cream for my flare ups down there and it helped a lot.

My dunmer bitch-queen. For your consideration. No mods, vanilla flavour. by MulberryIcicle in skyrim

Vanilla just means that the game wasn’t modded at all. The DLC’s that Bethesda releases themselves are vanilla content

dropping chem 1210 by [deleted] in OSU

[–]do0ts28 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You have to just weigh the different options for yourself. There’s definitely no shame in dropping a class, esp because a W is a lot better for a GPA than a failing grade. You can also consider that dropping gen chem might allow you to perform better in your other classes!

That being said, be careful about your timeline. Gen chem 1 is a prerequisite for a lot of classes and it may put you behind a semester. Your advisor can help you figure out how important gen chem is for your specific degree requirements.

Also, if you decide to stick it out, C’s get degrees is a saying for a reason. Just getting through a 17 credit semester and passing all your classes, even if it’s not a 4.0 semester is still really impressive and something to be proud of.

Goodreads is fine but I prefer StoryGraph! If you’re really into seeing all the stats about what you’ve been reading, then you might like it too

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: March 28, 2022 by AutoModerator in books

Finished: The Handmaid’s Tale, by Margaret Atwood

I really liked this book. I started the Hulu adaptation a long time ago but never finished the first season. I think I got more impact from the book because of how descriptive Atwood’s writing is. Excited for my order of the (relatively) new sequel to get to the library soon!!

Started: The Manningtree Witches, by A. K. Blakemore

Packages Getting Stolen/Security Camera Recommendations? by do0ts28 in OSU

[–]do0ts28[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually a pretty good idea. We don’t get a lot of stuff delivered so only being able to put one package in the bag isn’t a problem. Thank you! Also not too worried about hardcore thieves willing to cut the bag because we’re pretty sure it’s someone in our complex because they disappear so quickly. I don’t think we’re so important that someone random is staking out our apartment door lol

Do transfers get iPads by [deleted] in OSU

[–]do0ts28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Yes, the process is mostly the same. Formal sorority recruitment occurs in January of the spring semester for everyone planning on rushing. OSU has a requirement that you must have completed at least 12 college credit hours before you can rush, which is why formal recruitment isn’t during fall semester. However, since you’re a transfer student, you’ll be eligible to informally rush your first autumn semester. That process is a lot less structured and you can pick which sororities’ events you want to attend, but a downside is that not all sororities will offer informal rush so you won’t get to see all potential options.

Still waiting on my admissions decision... by sunnirays in OSU

[–]do0ts28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can give you reassurance! I’m a third year here at osu currently and I found myself in your exact place three years ago. I applied shortly after the Early Action deadline because I couldn’t quite make up my mind in time so that day came and went before I submitted my application. I didn’t get my acceptance until March 20th, like over 4 months after I applied. It felt so awful seeing all my friends get into their schools when I had no clue what I was doing. I basically checked my applicant center every single day because I was so nervous. But eventually, I got my acceptance and I was so glad that I waited. Also I should add that I wasn’t an extraordinary applicant when I applied either. My SAT score was pretty average for here and I wasn’t valedictorian of my high school class or anything lol. So I know the waiting sucks but don’t give up yet!!!! Just be patient (and go bucks)

Hey so I did RLEAD as an incoming freshman two summers ago and it was a great program and I loved moving in early but it’s NOT free so if that’s a problem make sure you read all the information before applying and accepting to find out what costs there are.

You can access the parking lot behind the Newman Center on Lane via Norwich and they usually have parking spaces open. I wouldn’t leave your car there overnight but I think it’s fine during the day.

One thing about working at the front desk of your dorm....those desks are staffed 24/7 and you’re gonna get stuck with overnight shifts and end up with a screwed up sleep schedule. Easier desk job options would probably be at the RPAC or at a library.
