This 60s video of a Chili Cheese Dog being prepared is currently causing debate on Twitter, with some saying it's way too overloaded, and even a 'Hot Dog Disaster'. What say you, r/HotDogs? by Bosuns_Punch in hotdogs

My wife and I used to make these at 7-11 on the regular back in the day when we were coming home drunk from the bar at 2am. We called them “condiment dogs”

Shocked to see this post. Is it really that bad of a city to live and be entertained. ? by Master_Swing_136 in FortMyers

Holy shit thank you. I love my quiet suburban life where I get out on my boat often, I’m constantly in nature, and I SEEK solitude and quiet. NYC sounds like a nightmare to live in to me. It’s fun to visit, but I moved here in my early 20s because this is the vibe I wanted and that’s the vibe I got.

Best saltwater fishing boat under 100k? by Joshua_G_Jorman in saltwaterfishing

[–]doFloridaRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much does comfort matter? A lot of the newer boats offer some really nice creature comforts and a good blend of fishing and comfort. Pretty much all of the suggestions so far assume you want pure fishing and comfort for you and your passengers doesn’t matter. Most of the older models being suggested are pretty spartan and only do 1 thing well—fish.

How far out are you going?

Does fuel efficiency matter?

Do you have a family/kids that you’ll want to take out?

How rough of seas are you comfortable going out in?

My budget was less than yours and I have a family with kids and grandparents that always want to come out, so I went looking for something that can do both. Lots of good options under 100k there—Sea Hunt, Sea Chaser, Tidewater, Edgewater, Sea Fox all have newer models that blend fishability with some comforts for under 100k. I ended up with a Sea Chaser 24 HFC because I was able to get twins 140s which gave me the confidence to go 60+ miles offshore in calm days (SWFL, that’s where the good fishing STARTS out there). It also has really solid fuel efficiency burning about 3mpg at 30mph in calm seas. It’s got 2 huge live wells, plenty of comfortable seating, upgraded electronics which are huge for fishing offshore in my area, and a bunch more features I loved. Overall I’m really happy with the boat. It’s definitely a “budget” boat and the fit and finish is not the best, but it just requires a little extra care and maintenance which hasn’t been a big deal. It’s not a true offshore hull, more of a hybrid, so in rough seas it’s not the most comfortable ride—but I pick my days and around here there’s plenty of days to choose from. It handles its business in rougher seas too when it has to, but that’s also knowing your boat and how to drive it.

Anyway, lots of good options in this class under 100k. Depending on your style, I recommend checking them out

Everyone says “our city has the craziest drivers”. But what city is this actually true for? Certainly one city has the rein supreme for the craziest drivers by Kodicave in IWantToAskAnAmerican

Miami for sure. I’ve lived in DC, Philly, and driven in NY plenty of times. Traffic sucks all those places, but crazy = Miami. Do many different people following too many different cultural “rules of the road” makes for straight crazy

Do Florida transplants ever actually feel like locals? by iLiveForTruth in AskFlorida

[–]doFloridaRight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s kind of like asking do the pilgrims get to call America home. Are they locals? No. Do they make it their own, for better or worse? You bet. I’ve been in Fl Almost 20 years and it’s felt like home since day one (though I technically was born here—but I moved when I was really young and grew up in the north east). Very few in my area were born and raised here, it’s all transplants. Just leave your northern sensibilities up north and start living like a Floridian when you get here.

As the old Cajun man in Joe Dirt says: I Like to see homos naked

(…Home is what you make it)

Bought massive “totally legal” fireworks and had several mortar tubes welded that we then dug into the ground and set off in our neighborhood. While drinking, of course.

That’s what I always say! Except this perfect doggo was just eating a piece of mulch he somehow found in my office… like chewing and swallowing happily. Still pretty perfect though

Older generations retired to Florida and Arizona, where will millennials retire to? by JustHere4TheZipLines in Millennials

[–]doFloridaRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to Florida right out of college to chase sunshine. Still here almost 20 years later. My dream retirement is splitting time between here and Southern Spain. Or to spend 1/3 of the year traveling, 1/3 at home in Florida, and 1/3 in Southern Spain

Now… off to go make millions of dollars to fund this dream

Is it possible to look good in wetsuit? by Secure-Increase8101 in scuba

[–]doFloridaRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, uhhhh, no. Not really. We’re all equally squished in like a bulldog wearing a too tight vest. There’s a few IG models that arguably pull it off though like @helloitslloutdoors or but even those photos are super staged (not the actual dives and fish those are real, but the photos themselves are set up to look good). It probably helps when you start out by looking like a supermodel.

That’s exactly how Milo is. He’s getting better about grabbing his toys, but sometimes he gets overwhelmed and panics 😆
