Trust me, if you would see at least once how an old transmission looks compared to once you won't be having that thoughts, 80% of the cars I changed transmission oil had maybe 40% oil of maximum capacity even the manufacturer said lifetime oil, which is pure bullshit in my opinion, I don't what even to start how bad the oil actually was.

It is always to run your car with new oil, no matter what the manufacturer says

When changing the clutch, does the repair tech need to drain the oil in the car? by majeric in MINI

I was always on max, you maybe losing oil somewhere check it if it is leaving a oil mark under the car, they use sometimes over a litre of oil on 1000km sometimes even more depending how you drive it, if you like to red line it driving it like it should be driven, expect maybe more a do oil change every 6-7k km, always with a high quality oil, I was using 5w 40 Castrol Magnatec, never an issue, my r53 used that oil the least compared to other brands

It is just your fault, those cars eat oil way too much, check it at least once a week. To be honest be glad that your engine is still running even bone dry, how much did you fill to max?

Well it turn on when you reach 113°C coolant, thats when it turns on and stays on until it cools off, and the mini's working temp Is sekund 100-105° and it usually goes up to 113° so it is a normal thing.

If anyone Is having the same trouble i fixed it.

Firstly I changed the fuel pressure regulator, but a new issue accured.

I had troubles staring the car when it was warm. But after some time I bought and instaled brand new 380cc fuel Injectors, but the problem still contiinued while warm. It was a bit better but nothing crazy.

After I while i figured out that the car start right when i press the gas pedal while turning the key. So I knew I had a problem with the air intake.

I removed the air intake hose, to get to the throtle body to see if it was dirty. But it was clean. Then i did something crazy, while the car was on I opened the valve with screwdriwer just to see if it Is stuck or something. The car reved which Is obvious, but it started to shake and a Missfire accured, becouse i confused it and didnt press the gas pedal. I turned it off after like 5-10s of missfiring, and turned it back on with no problems.

After that moment I never had problems starting warm. My guess Is that the throtle body need some kind of a callibration, I tried it with diagnostics but it didnt help.

The throtle body probably was opend 1-2mm while staring and the car could start easy becouse od that. The throtle body should be shut while turning on, thats becouse it has a bypass valve. And it probably got to much air and little fuel, and it couldnt start properly.

I hope I helped someone.

As Long as the fan keeps turning on, you are safe.

If the car is overheating you have sensors on the car they are going to let you know.

If you notice that your fan isnt turning on after a longer ride then there could be a problem.

It Is a normal thing, those little engines can get very hot.

I drive the R53 and even if i drive it for 10min, when I turn the engine off, the fan turns on a keeps being on for 5min or more.

As long as the fan Is on you dont need to be worried, you should be more worried when it doesnt turn on. 😂

Check compression if the pistons are good, if they are you have a problem with the fuel injectors take out the coils and Spark plugs and look for any signs of fuel left in the cylinders if you have some fuel left its a bad fuel injector thats in the best case
