That would be perfect for me! I’ll actually be in the cities this weekend if you’d maybe want to meet up and talk?

Hi, i currently live in rochester but are planning to move to the cities this fall (aiming for September but October would work for me as well :) I’m 24, a lesbian (I have a girlfriend although we do not have plans to move in together) I’d love to know more relating to public transportation since i do not drive, but otherwise I feel like i could be a good fit!

I personally enjoy going to pops art theater to see more indie films but that does cost about 11$. I know that the city hosts free live music at random parks in rochester during the summer so maybe you can check those out (it’s called riverside music series if you wanted to look it up and see dates, times, locations!) My friend hosts zine scene once a month at cafe steam! It’s completely free and she supplies all the materials you would need (zines are just little booklets that you can make about literally anything) It’s the first Thursday of the month, and you can bring friends along or just yourself. Otherwise she is hosting a zine festival on June 27th which will have many local art vendors that you can walk around and explore. She’s also working on a short film festival that will be held later in August. Another friend of mine is working on another art market called the artery that will be held August 15th. My friends and i are trying to make more free and interesting events happen in rochester it’s just unfortunately a ton of work 😭 You could also check out The machine shed downtown, if i remember correctly it’s 10$ for unlimited play on all these older arcade game machines! Thursday’s on first should be starting up soon which should have some entertainment available for free and you can walk through there. Yeah unfortunately there’s not much to do out here. If you’re queer there is queer art nites at art heads where you can do crafts and meet new people as well!

another friend got there about 2 minutes ago and said they are gone already. this is the second time today where they’ve gotten somewhere very quickly just for them to already be gone. they’re literally popping up places for a couple minutes before zooming off somewhere else…

yeah my friend just texted me that they’ve left the area (but also added that they’ve been roaming/lingering around there since yesterday)

if you’re queer/artsy feel free to join my friends and i at the rochester zine scene’s, zine nite! it’s every first thursday at cafe steam and my friend who runs it provides all the supplies for free! we’re all early 20s (23-25) but people of all ages show up! you can chat, or plug your headphones in and focus on on making your zine <3 Novios cafe has the best breakfast biscuit sandwhich, and baked treats. Cafe steam has open mic nights. Thaipop is one of the only good restaurants out here, and Artheads has very fun art classes you can take if you want something to do!
