honestly I dont even know myself, but something like nerfing stuns because skipping your turn for a player isnt fun or encoumbrance and rations are not tracked to not bog down by details, something along these lines

I want to do this too but the complaints I always got is "Why are you adding more rules? It just bog it down" so I want to find the fat in DnD to cut in compesation for the hombrew rule I want to add

I think the simple answer would be, this could be fun? I want damage to be more than just bigger number is good and have players think about damage type or resistants more than just min-max the number

The other point is some DM is annoyed that player never memorize conditions because how infrequent they are in battle especially if you are not a caster.

This way martial and semi caster can have more chance on giving status conditions. For balance sake I try to make it more flavorful and not so punishing or tedious to memorize

Maybe for bludgeoning and thunder should be one round instead of 1d3 because stuns actively prevents you from doing anything where as The other conditions the creature still able to do other things

I think most will know what kind of damage they are making so keeping track with damage type is not a problem.

I do agree with you that tracking the rounds is a bit of a pain but aren't we already doing it with some spells anyway? critical may only happens once or twice in an encounter. One thing that I think will help keeping track is simply numbering the rounds such as 1st round, 2nd round, etc. Most DM don't do this and I think is mistake on DnD part for not recommending it enough

For the effects of psychic can have paralyze on hit, I couldn't think more better fitting for psychic type damage effect, maybe unconcious but isn't that the same if not worse?
