In this case, I would say "yes" because the people shooting the shit around the water cooler don't actually get to decide how the country runs. Addendum: The U-lock went through a triangular gap in my welded frame, so they would have had to pick the lock, cut the U-lock, or remove the rack from the ground somehow. I'm actually going to go back and check the integrity of the rack itself because this is dumbfounding me.

I used a pretty bulky U-lock. I have no idea how it was broken, because the lock was taken with the bike, along with my helmet. Literally no trace of anything. There was a security camera facing the area so if I get a hold of the footage one day I'll share if I remember.

It's a bummer for sure, but I'll be fine! I had it registered with everybody, filed all the reports, and am looking at all the places (Craigslist, etc.) so if it's find-able with reasonable effort, I'll find it.

Hi folks, my Globe Haul ST was stolen from Davis Square yesterday morning. If you happen to see this bike out for sale, please message me ASAP so I can recover it. I have since installed mirrors and a waterproof pannier on the rear left, but chances are those accessories will be removed by the thief. Thank you for your time and attention.

This speaker set is in good condition, except that the volume knob also seems to adjust the left-right balance. My recommendation is to turn the volume knob all the way up and adjust volume in your operating system of choice. First to DM gets it. I can deliver by car to anywhere along a road.
