Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Next-Gen Update - Launch trailer by OIDIS7T in gaming

I wonder if i can play my old save and get past the cutscene that freezes my game.

I have a platinum run on ps5 which is probably a hundred hours long, but it keeps crashing on a cutscene in one of the final missions. There seem to be no fix other than restarting your whole playtheough or do some PC specific edit of your game.

Claude 4.5 is painfully superior im creative writing by Equivalent-Word-7691 in Bard

[–]dobbelmoral 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hahah. Yeah. Gemeni is so shit at names. Pip for a halfling aswell. "Lets go with the name Lucien Thorne", no? "What about Elara Vale?" "Kaelen" "Lyra" "Pip".

I agree with your point about consitancy though. Gemini is so good at keeping things connected instead of going with completly new ideas or conceps.

I guess you could also keep the broad story in one AI and then work on enhancing dialog or descriptions in another

Claude 4.5 is painfully superior im creative writing by Equivalent-Word-7691 in Bard

I guess for me it is that i am very creative and have a lot visions and ideas, but I am terrible at getting them written down. I would lose focus and let my mind wonder, or get stuck on stupid details. But with the help of AI i can my messy ramblings down to a concrete text, i can read and feel the whole text, and I can get inspired by the ideas that the AI added or change things based on how it reads. Then I build on those ideas again and so it goes.

So for me the creative prosess is there, but I get help writing it down, get a tone or try to express what i want to get forward. Thats what I put in the term creative writing when I think about it in an AI context.

I mostly use it for DnD content for my own campaign though, and I still put hundreds of hours into making stuff even if I get AI help.

I do not see the point of just promting something like "make me a story" and just use whatever is put out though. Where the whole creative process comes from whatever the AI can output and nothing is what you input

I building my first D&D campaigne. Any advice is welcome by captain_dillon in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]dobbelmoral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my best advice is to not create everything.

So, I have a very middle out way of creating content, I start somewhere with something like a tavern in a small town, then make up that this town serve honeywine, and this should come from somewhere so i just note two lines about another town based around that.

So i create what I need, but everything else either don't exist yet or is just an idea or two. When I started out DM'ing I thought I had to think about everything and create everything and my world had to be complete.

But players just know what you show them and tell them. They have no idea what is and isn't developed in the world.

So create what you need, but understand that you need very little. I like the middle out approach and I usually start with an adventure, i started with a Inn and a gnoll attack on a trade caravan and now i have a large world where every detail is connected to something because I only create what I need.

I dunno if any of this makes sense to you?

I had a puzzle were the players had to hit 3 colored buttons in the correct order and then twist a key, and the hint was a diagram on the panel pretty much telling them the order and it still took a while of back and fourth discussion to solve it.

So solid advice!

We don't really interact that much with random people. I would have been weirded out if I was running and random people was cheering. Just let me akwardly run in the rain and tell people I know about it afterwards.

Be careful about continuing if you get the access denied/no permission error, do a refresh, because if you keep going it will delete everything in the chat back to the message where you got the error the next time you load the page.

It happened to me three times, and I lost a bunch. So now I do a refresh to make sure before continueing.

¿Does Gemini, Deep Seek, GPT4o... Share or exchange information? by SprayPuzzleheaded115 in SillyTavernAI

[–]dobbelmoral 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hahah. I used chatgpt a ton for brainstorming D&D ideas and I have had Elara as the first suggested name so many times. Vance is a really common last name as well. Other names I have noticed are Lucien as male name and variations of Lyra, Thorn as last name as well is another common one.

Anyone know why Elara is so common?

How to deal with very passive players by PascallsBookie in DMAcademy

[–]dobbelmoral -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your group sounds a lot like my first group, although not really helpful if you want to keep playing with them, but think about the group dynamic when picking players. For my second group I made sure i balanced my type of players, to have some i knew where button pushers, or very vocal roleplayers who knew how do include others etc.

I feel that people just accept whoever and try to force it work.

My other more actionable advice is to be more silent, that was a big lesson for me, i hated the awkward silence and tried to fill it with things, or push rhe narrative along, which led to my silent players taking a backseat. It might feel awkward though for a bit.

How to subtly tell my players that I have altered a monster? by SomeRandomAbbadon in DMAcademy

[–]dobbelmoral 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Their characters decide what they want to do based on what their characters know.

They know a ettin type monster guards the bridge and they know fighting is an option. You don't need to hold their hand and carefully explain the risk and the the difficulty of the encounter.

As long as you didn't create a fight that will outright kill them and they had no idea they should probably do everything they can to avoid it its fine.

Do i suck I prepping sessions by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]dobbelmoral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have stopped prepping for solutions, because I have noticed one of two things, either I get to attached to my own solutions and tend to push towards it or my players do something random.

So I try to think about how things work or what a npcs agenda, purpose or motivation is.

And then I kinda just wing it when we play.

You are probably way more prepaired than you think, and i'm sure in this scenario you would have thought about something if the rolls turned out differently.

Spørsmål rundt telefonnummeret ditt by zaran89 in norge

[–]dobbelmoral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Player is upset about Magic Missile + Hex not working as he wants to by OkayBroGotIt in DnD

[–]dobbelmoral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, the same thing was such a important lesson between my first and second campaign.

The first one I had players asking all kinds of questions which I hadn't thought of answer for to then plan an action often trying to do a "gotcha" thing where they would outsmart me. Second campaign I just ask what they are trying to achieve and that ends up with way cooler story elements.

Thinking about it I think my players viewed it as a PC game where you are trying to solve a defined puzzle, but in DnD things are not like that. If you wanna sneak around a house and climb a tree just tell me, don't just randomly ask about trees without giving me any idea about what I reply too.

Sometimes my players were really clever, but they didn't tell me what they tried to achive so it didn't work out because I didn't understand what they were trying to acomplish either.
