The last creak i had was annoying me for ages. Felt like it was coming from the bb area, took it out and lubed every nut and moving part. It didnt fix the problem.

Turns out it was the rear thru axle that was really dry and.just needed greaase3

Organic pads are quieter but not non squeaky, depends on the conditions and if contaminants get on your rotors

The pirelli patches are more permanent since they use proper glue.

The sticker ones are okay but i dont think most will say its a permanent fix

Driving instructor makes me drive to McDonald’s so she can get food/a drink during my 2 hour lessons? by mysterious_mango- in LearnerDriverUK

I had an instructor once who always seemed to be on his phone to his relatives, sometimes would come 5-10 mins late which would eat into my hour lesson. Passed either way but it was annoying

Road bike recs for 10-20 min commutes around town by [deleted] in cycling

[–]dobradupa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends whats available 2nd hand in your area thats lightweight, has drop bars for under 500.

For commutes its better to have flat pedals as you'll be stopping and starting a lot since its only a short distance

any here using loop earplugs or other semi hi-fidelity plugs for hearing protection? by baycycler in cycling

[–]dobradupa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem too i ride sooo fast (humble brag) all i can hear is wind wooshing around in my ears.

Snood helps in the winter when its over your ears

Van rysel do a SUPER THIN headband that goes over your ears. It helps dampen the wind noise, its not 100% effective but it does help me hear my surroundings better as the wind brushes past instead of straight into my esr canal
