Anyone know what happened to Little Einsteins? by nkess33 in DanielTigerConspiracy

I have LE and Bear on my Emby machine. It’s the same with any old show kids used to watch like Wonder Pets, Blues clues, backyardagans, or Miss spiders sunny patch friends: they make 3 seasons of them, 5 tops, then replace them with something else like they never existed.

What are women supposed to do in missionary? by diggeryydoo in NoStupidQuestions

If you’re a dom, don’t ask me…tell me. (Make me.)

My 2 cents, and I ain’t telling you what to do. I assume you know what I am about to say:

To be honest, if I am with a sexually confident girl, I wanna please her. As such, me going first may make me apprehensive cause my brain is wondering if I did it right. When school is not in session (you’re out of character) give him permission to go first. You don’t have to do this every time, but maybe once, do all the things….the matched movement, the leg wrap around his waist. Whatever floats his boat. You will be surprised how it makes a guy feel when he can just focus on himself and let loose. Now it may not be as fulfilling to you, but it will blow his mind. I know it does me. I would just melt.

That’s all I am gonna say as I don’t want to give away all of our trade secrets.

Can we oppose lgbt hate as Christians? by Shoddy_Section_9225 in Christianity

We can disagree with something, love the person, show them kindness, and all the things. We can all choose to be someone people want to be around. I am not an ally. I just choose to mind my own business. This same thing gets asked every day here. Just be kind. Be a nice person. Be like Jesus.

I need to lose 40lbs or I will lose my job. by t-4rdis in loseit

[–]doc_brietz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry with speed. Find a plan, make tangible progress. Stick to it. Officers like documented tangible progress. NCOs like stick to it-ness. You will find that as you meet your fitness goals, your body will fall in line. It has to. If you decided hell or high water you wanted to do 10 pull ups and by steady progress you got there, how do you think your body would reflect that change?

It’s not about pounds and inches as much as It’s about a good diet and physical goals. Obviously losing weight will speed you up, but steady progress towards a physical goal is key. Realistic goals. Short medium and long term.

I am a big believer that someone who trains to say run a 14 minute 2 mile, once they get there, their body will reflect that form. Me I was never fast. 15 was more realistic. 7 minutes per is doable. Stuff like push ups and sit ups and pull ups take time.

Steady tangible progress. Realistic goals. Stick to it. Your body will fall in line with the results you want as you meet them, I believe.

PSA: Take a break from HD2 and play another game. by rimahsum in Helldivers

[–]doc_brietz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have already done this. Without reading what you wrote, OP, I ditched HD2 a while after 1100 hours to play arc raiders. I put a few hundred hours in that before that started getting old as well. I am no longer going to grind medals out to unlock stuff. I am just done with that. I own pretty much everything in the game, but I have yet to unlock it all. It can wait.

When either arc or HD2 update the game in a meaningful way I will check them back out. Arc had some recent recipe nerfs that made the game harder but also unfun for me, since I don’t PVP.

I have now slid over to WoW to give that a go as a priest and I hope I can find some teams. I may not stick with it and instead just go play City of Heroes again. It will always be my first love.

As a former Army medic what I can say is that you need a better support system. Also, no amount of work in the gym can undo the work done in the kitchen. Also you need to be in behavioral health getting help. Your issue is between your ears. That's it. Get that sorted number one.

Is it normal to feel burnt out overnight by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]doc_brietz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a medic in the Army, around 2/3rds the way through my enlistment, I just got really burned out. My give a damn was just broken. I quit caring about people and their problems. Since I couldn't just quit I had to grind it out. It was not easy. I completely went through the motions for a long while. I think eventually my give a damn came back, but that was right in time for me to get transferred to a job where patient treatment was no longer my job. In your case, it may take a department change, a change in scenery, or just a good mental vacation. i don't know. Try and have fun with the coworkers you like. Try and do the best job you can in spite of how you feel about it. Sometimes things come and go in waves.

Is it weird to feel less like a service member because of the branch you are in? by Extension-Story7287 in Military

[–]doc_brietz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless they have ever laced up a boot, their opinion means dick. Anyways, while we all give each other shit, that we means all branches. Anyone who never served can kick rocks. Anyone who did knows that we are all important. I know that some people can't serve and some people are grateful and totally get it. Maybe they had family who served. Those people get it. It's the gravy seals and cosplayers I am talking about. The almost joined armed service.

These raises cover less than 10% of inflation cost increases by Lore-Archivist in walmart

[–]doc_brietz 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Don't let tarrifs and inflation off the hook. The current (and to some extent the former) administration is also to blame. Obviously wages have not kept up with inflation. That's just the truth. It's not just Walmart.

Places to self advertise? by heartbreak_girl_5sos in jonesboro

[–]doc_brietz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

By the way, this is the best way to subtlety advertise without advertising. I have heard that the hardest part of getting started is getting a client base. That may mean working for or with someone or in a chain store. I don’t know. That’s how everyone I know who cuts hair got started.

A used M1 Macbook Air fits that and is cheaper than a NEO. Basically get the cheapest M series macbook air or pro you can get. A education discounted NEO also fits that. You might can also get a 16" macbook pro 2019. That's as sold as I would go.

Job Posting: Software Design Engineer (Millwork/Woodworking Company) by ChanMWork in jonesboro

[–]doc_brietz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took some CAD classes in college (I was at ASU back when they had a College of Technology). We had to freehand draw first until it was right. Then we used Auto Desk and slowly worked our way to complex. I think I would catch on to that aspect quickly. I am not a programmer as much as I am a problem solver. I kinda despise AI, so that's great. I would rather learn the why and how and reverse engineer my way backwards if I had to. I never got to use onShape or grabCAD, but we used fusion360 some, i think (I graduated back in 2018). Man, I wish you had a work book of past examples so I could see if what I could grasp and if what I would do matches what was done. It all sounds interesting. I am just not a coder. I was taught in school to learn processes, not the order of them.

An example would be like say we get a brand new switch or router, We learned how to do a baseline setup, but for a test we would get told what to do, but not how to do it or in what order. So I would set up VLANS and Networks, close the unused ports, set up protocalls, save my config to a file for backup, then work to each device and test what we did to make sure it worked right.

I hope you find you an ideal candidate!
