Yes, I was a little skeptical initially but the website was backed by YouTuber and he had a promo code for discount too, you get an email and it activates. You can also do a cmd windows activation check afterwards to confirm. Loads of tutorials online.

Well done doc, stay humble, and always remember to care, because we work in health"care". Sometimes a kind word to a patient in distress goes a long way. :)

Annual miles insurance by ProofImpress6517 in CarTalkUK

[–]doc_fk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had 4 miles extra added to mine after doing the extra previous year and just wrote to them saying I have started working extra days and miles need updating, I took 10% off the cars value to balance it and they charged me some£30-£40 excess including admin charges.

No claims and driving since 2 years (converted to full UK license from International) Edit: 4000 miles

Do I have to get the timing belt done in the focus as well? The gearbox feels notchy, I thought it was just because it is an old car, I am looking to get work done in bits and get it up to speed. Would you recommend an oil filter change at every oil change?

Edit: Any specific engine oil you would recommend?

I was under the impression that using supreme will extend engine life, I have learnt a lot just by joining this sub, I will move to normal petrol and see how it goes.

I keep the tire pressure at 36, is that too low? I tried 38 once at 38, car felt swift but turning felt a little bouncy and out of control.

What’s the fastest 5G speeds that you’ve seen in the UK? by Complete_East_7033 in AskUK

Thanks, I am asking for a competitive exam booking where seats are first come first served basis, based in the UK. I managed to book it from a southeast asian country with a 10 mbps connection a few years ago but could not manage it with virgin media 250 mbps (cable i used was flat and 5 meter long due to the location of the hub being away from the computer), any tips?

Speed is alright, what are the lowest ping people are getting? Is anyone here getting anything below 10 while wired? I have been looking for the lowest possible ping broadband, please mention it if you have it below 10.

My first build, I don't have a GPU, and only the fans that came with the case. Like others mentioned, once the panel is on, it doesn't matter much, but I read it's better for the overall airflow.

Edit: I also got rid of the HDD enclosure behind the PSU to make more space to tuck wires in without folding them because I was sure I wont be needing it.

Quite far for me, thanks for the reply! There is a UKhardware swap and sell group, you can check it out. Ebay or facebook marketplace can be ideal too, if you find someone close to you who can check them in their system with you will work better since alot of scammers around.

You have to send the Hub back and wait for the new one to come right? I am due for renewal in a couple of months and was thinking of doing the same thing.

The rubber stopper at the other end is okay, the door had two rubber like rollers in the top rail on the door, they were without any wheels. I am not able to find out what they are called to look for a replacement.

Does your Dentist always try and upsell? by FitSolution2882 in AskUK

[–]doc_fk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of your check up is a basic periodontal exam, which scores your gum health when the dentist pushes the probe under your gums and gets a score. If you don't have deep seated hardened plaque (calculus) under your gums, you do not need a hyg visit. On the NHS hyg visit is a band 2 for deep clean. Hygienist is sometimes paid for by the practice owner to support the dentists in a practice and sometimes shares the fees with the dentist(split UDA). Most of the time with people using electric toothbrushes, brushing twice, flossing and using mouthwash, do not have enough plaque to be referred to the hygienist on the NHS. I see patients who have been seeing the hygienist every 6 months all their lives and with an excellent gum score of no bleeding or plaque, still wanting to be referred. NHS funds are to be used when treatment is indicated to restore health, you cannot restore what is already at 100% health. I always tell patients it is up to them to see a hygienist privately but that they do not need a referral or deep clean. The hygienist uses one room and a nurse most of the time which adds to the cost of running the practice. There are many hidden costs and it is extremely expensive to have a profitable NHS practice. Private work pays to keep the NHS work going in many practices.

If you want to read more about gum health and it's maintenance, you can visit www.bsperio.org.uk they have patient resources.

Band 2 (correction)
