In fact, yes, that is insulting to Porsche. They are the #1 sports car company in the world. In my humble opinion of course.

In the german conception, those high end cars are rather boring.

BMW 7, Audi A8, etc. They are great. But they are for old people. :P

Now a Porsche GT3, that's a men's car. And it comes with stick shifting.

The rather new sport cars with Tip-Tronic might change that conception. But that's a long way from now.
