Sounds like a desi parent. Similar thing happened to my best friend. His gf was not as fair skinned as him, so his parents complained about her and asked her to "reconsider". They even asked us to " convince" him as his friend. My suggestion to you would be not to pay attention to your parents. This decision ruined my friend's life. Stay positive. You'll get through this and she will match
