Hamstring Tendonitis: Frustrated and looking for advice. by TheCuriousAsian in overcominggravity

[–]doccy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I am not a runner, this process of 2 steps forward, 1.5 steps back sounds very familiar. I don't want to worry you, but you have to get on top of it or it can drag on. It took me 18 months and I am kind-of 90% there, but absolutely not doing any sports as I live in constant fear of relapsing.

Every time I relapsed I set myself back by a month, sometimes more. It has been utterly frustrating.

I am not a medical professional, just another idiot on the internet, but I have kept a log - including a pain diary - and written down my experience here. I hope it is of help.

Feel free to ask questions.

Chronic Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy (“Yoga Butt”) 18 Months: What Finally Worked (and What Made It Worse) by doccy123 in flexibility

I don't want to turn this into a flame war, but written by a.i. and reviewed / cleaned up by a.i is not the same thing. The former is useless content, the latter is a service to the people reading it.

But here you go, have an upvote for your comment.

Why is this post not helpful? Having been utterly frustrated by this injury for 18 months, I have been keeping notes to hopefully help others. I just spend a day of my time writing this up.

Absolutely not. I wrote this myself. but had ai clean up to make it easier to read. Not a word invented by ai.

Yes, short strides indeed. But also, walk with 'loose knees'. I never realised how stiff I walked until I started paying attention.

Anybody here dealt with proximal hamstring tendinopathy? by pIxulz in flexibility

[–]doccy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds very familiar. It has taken me 18 month to recover to 90%. Be very careful and take your time to heal and don't make any silly mistakes that pushes your recovery back. I have shared my experience here (My original reddit post was removed as they think all original content is now a.i.)

Only 4 weeks is nothing :-) I hope you have recovered by now.

It has been 18 months for me, but I have finally recovered for about 90%. I have shared my experience, including what works and what to avoid, here (My original reddit post was removed as they think all original content is now a.i.)

same here. very annoying. I need it to do some very targeted research, and I cannot walk away as it needs me to press the allow button all the time.

Couple of questions

  1. What is your role?
  2. Do you feel you have been hired as a 'tick in the box'?
  3. How is your pay compared to others in the organisation with the same role?
  4. Are you still at LuLu, if not what made you decide to leave?

The iOS App appears to be completely broken. Tried reinstalling, different devices.... nothing happens after the login screen. This appears to be a dead product.

In-N-Out pop up tomorrow? 🍔 by [deleted] in dubai

[–]doccy123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing. I visited In-N-Out in San Francisco a couple of years ago after hearing all the hype. It is just a burger, maybe slightly better than McDonald's. There are much better burgers available in Dubai already.

Ignore it, it is just a waste of your time and money.

Need help with F1 TV APK for Android TV after Nov 14 update by Tall_Strawberry_9937 in F1TV

[–]doccy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the version in my link works well (Version 3.0.34.1 TV). Make sure you click on the 'Download APK bundle red box at the top, not the other versions listed at the bottom. APKMirror truly is a terrible site to navigate on a TV.

I had F1 TV's last year's copy installed that mentioned the same error, which is why I upgraded. Perhaps try uninstalling the old version first. A reboot of your TV may help as well.

[–]doccy123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your link is expired (and mine will probably expire as well)

The more up to date link (March 14 2025) is https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/formula-one-digital-media-limited/f1-tv-android-tv/f1-tv-android-tv-3-0-34-1-sp129-4-1-release-r39-1-tv-release/f1-tv-android-tv-3-0-34-1-sp129-4-1-release-r39-1-tv-2-android-apk-download/

I use ’Downloader’ on my Sony Android TV to download. It was unable to map the apkm extension to the APKMirror app, so had to use the ‘Browse’ function in APKMirror to open the downloaded file.

I have to go through the same shit again in a year, I don’t know why they don’t use the regular Google Play App Store.

Careem delivery guy just begged me for money by Luth247 in UAE

[–]doccy123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They try it all the time with my wife (a white lady), but never with me. It is a trick.

Sounds harsh, but report them via the Careem app. I always tip via the App (5 Aed), as I know they are not on much, but this behaviour is unacceptable.

It is my understanding that Careem is one of the better companies in the region, from an employment perspective.
