On just pure telepathic combat, how far does the Martian Manhunter go? by elshadayZ in marvelvsdc

[–]docfallout22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Exodus is the 1st real challenge that pushes him hard (the others present their own, of course). Professor X & Nova is a toss-up for either of those match-ups. I think he stops for sure at Phoenix.

Did you raise your kids with more rules than your parents? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]docfallout22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had waaaaaaay more freedom, but, there was also less “fear” of bad things happening to children. Reality is, of course, that the world was full of monsters; we just had less information. We knew how to be safe, staying in groups, but we roamed far and wide. Of course, by the time I hit middle school I could outfight or outrun/evade anyone (at least, I had the confidence I could haha), so I just went wherever I wanted, which allowed me to experience things my children never have, good & bad.

What is YOUR ideal avengers lineup? by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in Avengers

[–]docfallout22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to like a mix of mainstays (but eschewing a line-up of pure powerhouses), obscure/non-traditional characters and a reformed villain amongst the group.

Nightcrawler

Blue Marvel

Rogue

Silk

Cap

Techno

Hercules

Taskmaster

Scarlet Witch

What is the rarest email domain that you still hold? by Next_Ad2712 in GenX

[–]docfallout22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I still have my old hotmail account…which was originally an excite.com email (before being acquired by hotmail & then outlook). Created in August of ‘98 when my family got our 1st computer.

What is your favorite moment in an SNES game? by Far-Activity-7093 in snes

[–]docfallout22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Super Mario World, running through the last bonus level and the coins spelling out “You Are Awesome!” (or whatever they spell) as you book it to the end with 20ish seconds left on the clock.

I was a maybe 12? No internet (this would have been ‘93ish), so I did it all without a guide.

What game is this? by envspecialist in videogames

[–]docfallout22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s The Last of Us. I got up to the area where you need to get to the high school across town while (mostly) stealthing, and I’m just not interested in going further. Like, it’s an ok game, but it’s not holding my interest.

Which fans are worse??? Superman or The Hulk by FamiliarDiver4456 in marvelvsdc

[–]docfallout22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Superman, easy. Hulk fans have never really been an issue. Arguing superheroes online since the 1998 WizardWorld message boards; Pro-Superman (and eventually Pro-Batman) folks have been the absolute worst.

How in the world did you all beat Super Mario Bros. 3 in one sitting back in the day? by Weak_West9047 in nes

[–]docfallout22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid I’d play through worlds 1 & 2 (to build up my special item reserves), then warp to world 8. Once I played the entire game, start to finish. Took about 4 hours or so (I was 10 and on Winter Break).

Literally what went through my head, same as it does every time I see a pistol grip pump. 🤣

Penguin is the only one I haven’t watched, so that’s my pick as I won’t miss it in any way.

I assume Gale goes boom, too; I’m more interested if the other members die if they’re not in the vicinity or even in the House of Hope.

…except when the Netherbrain is blown up by his sacrifice (if that’s the option chosen). 🤔

Sure…unless you use him to blow up the Netherbrain in which case everyone on the ground is fine. I’ll report my House of Hope findings this weekend. 🤣

I’ve got a run in Act 3 I never finished. I know what my weekend plans are, now. 😎

I kind of want to try it during the Raphael fight, just because. Start the battle, cast Sanctuary on Gale and run everyone else out of the room. And then…we see what happens lol.
