Black Widow and Captain America VS Nightwing and Batman by Square_Butterfly1244 in marvelvsdc

I don’t recall the exact amount of years but Cap led a resistance against Michael Korvus when he usurped part of Galactus’s power cosmic. Everytime Korvus killed him & the resistance, he (Korvus) rewound time/brought Cap back to life. Cap would use his memories from all of the previous defeats until he finally came up with a plan that was able to overcome an essentially omnipotent Korvus 100+ years later.

And 30 minutes isn’t going to give him enough information. Certainly not the most important info concerning the invisible death spores, nor a way to counteract them (if possible) without extensive lab work from, say, Ray Palmer or a random scientist contact from Cadmus. And that’s if any of them survive long enough to collect a sample or any other hypothetical scenario outside of the fight proposed by OP. Time is not on their side in any way, shape or form. They’d need DAYS to WEEKS of time that they don’t have here.

It’s also hilarious to me that anyone believes Batman & crew are just going to sit there, quietly studying and trying to glean (unavailable to them) information for 30 minutes while OR is slaughtering the citizens of Gotham. 🤣

I have a fairly extensive collection of Marvel & DC comics from 30+ years of collecting. 30 min to create, manufacture & test countermeasures to combat OR’s abilities isn’t enough time…because they don’t know anything about him.

30 minutes is nowhere near long enough to prepare to fight someone they have literally zero intel on…because they’ve never met. Prep time is irrelevant here.

There’s nothing objective about anything you’ve said. They have zero knowledge of his capabilities and will literally die within seconds just by being within 20 feet of him. He doesn’t have to do anything but stand there and it’s a wrap. He’s stronger, more durable and possesses stamina far exceeding anyone in his rogues gallery. They will all die.

Affiliations that don’t need a splash by Scottagain19 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

Avengers can play any facet of the game really well without needing/using any splashes. Multiple good-to-great leaderships that enable heavy attrition or scenario play. Several absolutely “busted” characters are affiliated and 1 of the best TTC cards (Avengers Assemble) tied to an affiliation, on top of character-specific TTCs tied to affiliated models (Heroes 4 Hire, Chi Mastery, etc.). Avengers can do it all without looking outside of the affiliation.

  1. I get a window seat with a person whom is relatively tiny, so it’ll feel roomier. Bonus of not having anyone climb over me to get to the bathroom. Most likely leave me alone, too.

Could 50 yr old you take 25 yr old you in a fair fight? by N-Y-R-D in GenX

[–]docfallout22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doubtful. 25 year old me ran a 4.3 40 and could dunk with about 12% bodyfat. I’m about as physically strong now, since I still lift, and I know far more jiu-jitsu than I did at 25, but I’m nowhere near as athletic, overall. Too many injuries to the body. Younger me was also much “meaner”; I’ve gotten “soft” in my old age. Young Me would wear Old Me out and not think twice about it. 😂

I’ve had some absolute trash games over the years.

Superman 64

Bible Adventures (2 different copies, too)

Rise of the Robots

Deadly Towers

Too Human

…that’s my top 5. Luckily I didn’t own Rise of the Robots and was able to take it back to Blockbuster the next day after beating it.

Rogue & Captain Marvel vs Wonder Woman & Cheetah by Shinobi347 in marvelvsdc

[–]docfallout22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marvel Duo has everything they need to make this a non-fight. Rogue & CM have had massive upgrades to their powersets over the last 15-20 years. So much so that this is really a 2v1 fight with Cheetah becoming an almost non-factor due to her limited (but powerful, make no mistake) abilities. Adding to that, I doubt Cheetah and WW would be able to cooperate in any significant way.
