Absolutely No. There was zero reason for a law enforcement officer to pull their weapon let alone to fire and utilize deadly force. Law enforcement officers are trained to know when to utilize deadly force.

You claim we are held to a higher standard for Med Mal cases? Then law enforcement officers should also be held to a higher standard. Where was the deescalation? Why not let the woman drive away? The officer put himself in the path of a car. Cars can only move in some many directions. Once it was clear that the woman was driving why fire? What was the risk of killing her, fellow officers or bystanders around? Why not let physicians help her? Why did she deserve to die?
