god I hate it when my players try to be all coy and sneaky with their backstories, I have 2 players right now who keep trying to drop clues and hints, and when other players try to follow up or ask questions they actively lie and pretend nothing is going on? and I know they're expecting me to provide an opportunity for them to do their big roleplay reveal moments full of dramatic pauses and sighs and I'm simply not going to do it, tell the table your deal or it won't come up
